Symbiosis Institute of Business Management is widely famous as SIBM, Bangalore. This institute has multiple national campuses like Bengaluru, Pune, Noida, Nashik, Hyderabad, and Nagpur. In addition, this institute conducts an institute-level entrance exam named SNAP, shortened for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. Interested candidates willing to secure admission at SIBM Bangalore must register and take the SNAP entrance exam.

  • The MBA program in SIBM is for two years, whereas the EMBA is for two and a half years. Hence, this institute's famous or flagship program is an MBA degree. 
  • To get MBA admission in SIBM, candidates must have completed their UG degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA.
  • For admission to the EMBA at SIBM, candidates must have completed their graduation degree with 50%. In addition, candidates must have relevant work experience.  
  • The selection criteria at SIBM depend on students' performance in the entrance exam SNAP. Henceforth, the admission seekers must undertake the SNAP Test to be eligible.
  • SIBM does not accept entrance exams like CAT, MAT, or XAT, unlike other institutes.
  • The SNAP entrance exam is conducted in the CBT method, i.e., online. 
  • Symbiosis University is the conducting authority to organize the SNAP exam. Therefore, the competent authority will release the cut-off list accordingly to the seats available for the eligible candidates.

SNAP exam pattern

  • The SNAP exam paper is divided into three sections.
  • Each question is for one mark, and there is a negative marking for a wrong answer.
  • There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
  • The question paper pattern for SNAP is through MCQ or the objective type method.
  • If there is any malpractice during the exam or the selection process, the candidate will be directly disqualified from the admission process.
  • The exam is conducted thrice, and the candidates can appear for SNAP for two attempts. The highest scored marks will be considered, and there will be no normalization.

SNAP application process for SIBM admissions 

  • The application forms for the SNAP entrance exam will be available on the institute's website.
  • The eligible students who have completed their UG degree will be allowed to apply for the exam.
  • Students must register themselves by entering their ID and password. Then, using these credentials, they can fill in the application form for taking the exam.
  • After filling in the necessary information in the SNAP application form, the website will redirect them towards paying application fees.
  • Once the payment is made, they can submit the application form. Next, the candidates must wait for the admit card release, which is necessary while taking the exam.

The admission criteria to get into SIBM Bangalore is to have passed in graduation degree with any stream of 50% along with SNAP entrance exam results. The selection process of SIBM Bangalore includes shortlisting students depending on their SNAP scores and is further carried on by WAT/GD-PI rounds for the final selection. After analyzing the performance in these rounds, candidates will be selected to enroll in SIBM.
