The CMAT conducting body-National Testing Agency has now postponed their examination dates for more than a month, so the interested students who haven't registered earlier can now register for the exam. Still, in this situation, only IMT Nagpur & Hyderabad are accepting the CMAT examination for admissions and acting as a common entrance exam. IMT conducts a set of interview rounds before finalizing the students for providing access. The applications have started frFebFeb 5, 2021, and the applicants having scored from CAT 2021 or XAT 2021 or GMAT and CMAT of 2021 can apply for IMT admissions. Now that the CMAT exams have been postponed to March final week or the first week of April, candidates might expect a specific change in the exam paper pattern.
The admission process of IMT is conducted for only CMAT applicants, and further, the candidates are asked to take part in GD, writing ability test, and PI process in the given time slot and date. The IMT institute will finalize the students based on their CMAT scores and then proceed with further admission procedures by which the final merit list will be made. The candidates will have to submit their scorecard of CMAT 2021 for evaluating the students' performance.
The candidates aspiring for CMAT and willing to apply for IMT common application will have to further update their CMAT registration details MarMar 15021 in the IMT portal.
Once the CMAT 2021 is updated on the IMT portal, they will evaluate the percentage, provide them the provisional certificate, and participate in the interview process. The conditional offer will change to the final offer only if the candidates reach the CMAT cut-off scores for admissions in respective campuses of IMT.
The final ranking will depend on the eligibility criteria of the applicants- this depends on the scores secured by the students in competitive exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, and GMAT, etc., should have academic certificates from board exams of 10, 12, and undergrad programs. This is followed by a further interview process and other given admissions parameters.
Mandatory Components for Admission Process in IMT (Nagpur & Hyderabad)
Submission of Profile Detail form & SOP- before the beginning of the admission process, all the shortlisted candidates will be given a form to fill up by the candidates regarding their basic profile, work experience, earlier education records, etc. The working knowledge becomes essential as they apply for the Executive MBA program in IMT. They will also have to give an SOP- statement of purpose of 300 words within the shared space.
Video Introduction- Again all the selected students will have to shoot an introduction video of themselves by talking about their goals, achievements, skills, career background, etc. This had to be uploaded in the given format in their portal as admissions will commence from Feb 2021. The respective information about the video (file size, outlet, etc.) will be provided in the SOP.
Personal Interview - The last round of the admission process is the PI, where the institution panelists will conduct a short one-on-one interview with the candidates via online mode. Before the schedule, all the protocols and login details just before the interview call in the SOP document.
