Exam dates for CAT 2021 announced; registrations to begin from August 4, 2021
The CAT- Common Admission Test is a competitive exam under the national level that IIM organises. CAT is mainly taken up by students willing to join management courses at PG levels like MBA or PGDM programs. Many of the top management institutes in India will consider the marks secured in CAT and keep that as the selection criteria for admissions in those institutes. Therefore, IIM usually gives top priority to the candidates who have got cut-off scores in CAT. Only the students applying for PG programs in management studies will be eligible to appear for this exam. This is an online entrance exam conducted in three sessions, and the students will have to register themselves on the official exam website.
For the year 2021, IIM Ahmedabad will conduct CAT and have announced the concerned exam dates on their authentic website. The registration for CAT will commence from August 4, 2021, by online mode, where the students are required to fill in all the necessary information needed in the application form. They must also pay the application fees of INR 200 for gen candidates and INR 100 for reserved candidates.
The eligibility requirement is defined by IIM, which candidates are asked to meet to appear for the CAT exam. This eligibility requirement remains the same over the years, and it is- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% of aggregated marks and will be eligible to apply for CAT 2021. There is no restriction for age to apply for the CAT 2021 exam. Until they choose for executive MBA, the work experience is not compulsory for CAT applications 2021.

How to apply for CAT 2021
Aspiring students applying for the CAT exam 2021 will have to follow the following steps.
Step 1: Visit and open the official website of CAT 2021 at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Then, look for and click on the link to 'New or fresh Candidate Registration' on the CAT webpage.
Step 3: Later, enter all the necessary details in the registration form for CAT.
Step 4: Next step is to click on the 'Generate OTP' icon and enter that OTP to log in and finish the CAT registration process for 2021.
Step 5: The application form for CAT 2021 will include information like personal, academic, contact details, other required docs and certificates (in specified size and format)
Step 6: They must fill in all the educational details like academic percentage, class 10, 12 and UG degrees in any recognised boards' relevant stream.
Step 7: Students must also enter about their work experience if they have any, but it is not mandatory information.
Step 8: Before the submission, candidates must pay the CAT application fee by online mode using a card or net banking methods.
Step 9: Submit the filled application form of CAT 2021 and get the hard copy of the same for further purposes.
