Velalar College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) were started by the Valalar Educational Trust in the year 2001. The objective of the college is to provide the students with education which improves integrity, honesty and discipline among the students and have links with industries and institutions which leads to economic, social and cultural development of the society. The vision of the institute is to provide education based on research to achieve excellence in academics. The mission is to produce students with good training, quality education and research activities to produce administrators, technocrats, scientists and entrepreneurs with professional ethics, social awareness and employability qualities.

Offline Mode: The interested candidates can collect the application form and prospectus in person from the admission office of the campus and the filled form can be submitted along with the required fee within the specified duration.

Scholarship:

• Students having cutoff marks more than 195 are provided with all fee waiver schemes which include hostel fee, transport fee, college fee and examination fee.
• The candidates having cutoff rank 190-194.75 are provided with tuition fee waiver scheme which is INR 40k per year.

Infrastructure:

• The library has 2920 volumes, 40478 books, 35 international and 171 national journals and DELNET facility with access to online education portals.
• The hostel has 550 seats for girl students and 250 seats for boy students along with canteen at an affordable rate of INR 46.5k per annum.
