The University of Calicut runs the MBA Programme at the Department of Commerce and Management Studies.

Admission to the MBA program is based on the KMAT Kerala entrance exam conducted by Kannur University or CMAT/CAT/MAT score, Interview, and the marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

Calicut University will invite applications for admission to the MBA course after the announcement of the result of KMAT Kerala on the official website of Calicut University. The candidate those who wish to join the course can apply through the website.

MBA/PGDM Eligibility Criteria

You should have passed any bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks from the University of Calicut or any other university or institute recognized by the UGC or AICTE. If you have a bachelor’s degree from the School of Distance Education, University of Calicut, then you are also eligible for MBA program admission.

MBA/PGDM How to apply

Calicut University will invite applications for admission to the MBA course after the announcement of  Kerala KMAT’s result on the official website. The candidate those who wish to join the course can apply through the website.

Apply online through the Calicut University website with the help of the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Calicut University.

Step 2: Find the link "PG entrance 2018/MBA Admission 2018" for remitting fees and submitting an online application.

Step 3: After submitting the online application, select the purpose "Application fee for MBA Admission 2018" while processing the Challan.

Application Fee

  • For General Candidates: INR 500/-
  • For SC/ST Candidates: INR 167/-

Step4: After payment, take a printout of the filled application form.

Submit Application Form

It would help if you had to send the printout of the application along with the original challan receipt and a self-addressed Rs.5/- stamped envelope (26cmx15cm) directly to ‘The Head, Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Calicut University Campus, University of Calicut, Malappuram 673 635’ to reach the same on or before May 25, 2018.

The application process for the KMAT Kerala Entrance exam

The application for KMAT Kerala should be submitted online at www. lbs centerInin/kmat2018 from December 02, 2016 (Tentative)onwards. The application fee for the general category is Rs. 800/- and for the SC/ST candidate is Rs. 500/-. The last date for submitting the online application is March 20, 2018(Tentative).

There are two stages to applying.

Stage 1: Remitting Application fee online

There are given some following steps to remit the application fee

Visit the official website of Kerala KMAT.

  • Click on the link “New Candidate- Remit Application Fee.”
  • Select category “GENERAL CANDIDATES” or “SC/ST CANDIDATES.”
  • Fill in all the required details such as Name, Age, Date of Birth(in DD/MM/YYYY format), Mobile Number, and E-mail and complete the onlinefeepaymentprocess. The details entered during online fee payment cannot be changed later.
  • You should pay the application fee online only by way of the Netbanking/CreditCard/debit card facility of any of the banks.

Application Fee:

  • For General Candidates: INR 800/-
  • For SC/ST Candidates: INR 500/-

Stage 2: Completing Online Application Submission

You can fill online application after 24 hours of payment of the application fee. There are given some points for online application submission.

  • Visit website www.lbscentre.in/KMAT2018
  • Click on the link ‘Login-FeeRemittedCandidate.’
  • Login with the help of SB Collect Reference Number and Date of Birth.
  • Click on the button “Browse” and select the photograph file. Then click on the button “Upload’. The photograph will be displayed on the screen after successful uploading. The photograph file must be in jpg format with a size less than or equal to 20 KB.
  • Now click on the button “Proceed.” The application form is displayed. Fill in all the details correctly and click on the button ‘Save’ to complete the submission.
  • You can click the button “PRINT” and take a printout of the application.

Note: It is not required to send the hard copy of the application form.

MBA/PGDM Selection Procedure

The admission to the MBA program shall be made based on the score in the entrance test called KMAT Kerala or CAT / CMAT conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)/MAT, the marks of the Group Discussion, Personal Interview and the marks obtained by the candidates in the Plus Two /Pre-degree examination put together in the following proportion:  

The candidates will be ranked according to the following criteria:

Entrance test score: 120 marks
Plus Two / PDC marks: 30 marks
Group discussion: 25 marks
Personal Interview: 25 marks
The minimum required test score is 10% (5% for SC/ST candidates) marks.

PG COURSES:-

  • The University of Calicut-Tenhipalam, the candidate, has to complete his/her graduation successfully and by securing 50%

UG COURSES

  • The University of Calicut-Tenhipalam, the candidate, has to complete his/her 10+12 successfully
