Shri Ram College of Commerce, commonly called SRCC, is affiliated with Delhi University and renowned for its excellence in Commerce, Management, and Economics streams. Shri Ram College of Commerce Course Admission

Since the college is affiliated with Delhi University, it follows the CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) admission procedure for all the courses. Thus, admission to all colleges affiliated with Delhi University (DU) will be determined based on the scores obtained in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) and administered through the CSAS.

This centralized approach streamlines the admission process and ensures fairness and transparency in allocating seats across DU-affiliated colleges, including SRCC.

Shri Ram College B.Com Hons Admission  

  • Candidates must complete the 10+2 level with at least 45% marks in the aggregate. The candidates must have Mathematics as one of their subjects in 10+2.
  • The applicants are designated based on their performance in the CUET examination.

 

Shri Ram College BA Admission  

  • This course is offered with a specialization in Economics.
  • The students must have secured a minimum of 45% in 10+2. These students must have Economics as one of their compulsory subjects in 10+ 2.
  • The selection is based on the CUET merit scores.

M.Com Admission

  • Candidates who are graduates from DU-affiliated colleges can opt for merit-based admission, whereas the nongraduates of DU need to sit for the CUET PG examination.
  • The eligibility criteria are the same for this course. Any graduates from any stream are eligible for this course.

MA  Admission

  • This course is offered with a specialization in Economics.
  • Any Graduates can apply for this course. These candidates must have Mathematics as one of their subjects in 10+2. The best of the four subjects are taken into account. One of these four must be a language subject.
  • Candidates who are graduates from DU-affiliated colleges can opt for merit-based admission, whereas the nongraduates of DU need to sit for the CUET examination.

PG Diploma in Global Business Operation

This course requires aspirants to be graduates to be eligible for this course. A simple graduation from any stream is the minimum eligibility criteria for this course. The selection criteria are based on the candidate's performance in the internal exam conducted by the college.

About the Entrance Test

PGDGBO entrance test is a two-hour written test conducted by SRCC. The test assesses the candidate's business, economics, and mathematics knowledge and skills.

The test format is as follows:

Section 1: Quantitative Ability (30 questions, 60 minutes)

This section tests the candidate's arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry skills.

Section 2: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (30 questions, 60 minutes)

This section tests the candidate's ability to interpret and analyze data and solve logical problems.

Section 3: Business and Economic Knowledge (30 questions, 60 minutes)

This section tests the candidate's knowledge of basic business and economic concepts. The test is conducted in English, and the questions are objective. The test is for 100 marks, &  the applicants are graded based on their scores. In addition to the written exam, the applicants are also shortlisted for a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) based on their performance in the written test. The GD and PI rounds assess the candidate's communication, critical thinking, and overall personality.

 

How to Apply for Shri Ram College of Commerce?

Since the SRCC is affiliated with DU, it follows the admission rules set by the University. Applicants with valid scores in CUET UG/PG must participate in the counselling process administrated by DU, commonly known as CSAS.

The admission process for DU-affiliated colleges will be conducted in three phases through the CSAS. Here's a breakdown of the admission process:

Phase 1: CSAS 2023 Application Form

  • Aspirants must complete the CSAS  application form, which is available on the centralized admission portal.
  • A one-time, non-refundable application fee is required to be paid during this phase.
  • ECA (Extra-Curricular Activities) and sports quota candidates may need to pay an additional fee.

Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences

  • The second phase begins after the results of the CUET UG examination are declared.
  • Eligible candidates can select the courses they are interested in and specify their college preferences through the central CSAS portal.

Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission

  • Merit lists will be generated based on CUET UG scores.
  • Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted, and candidates can check their seat portion status on the CSAS dashboard.
  • If a seat is allotted to a candidate, they must accept it within the specified deadline for that particular round.
  • Seat allocation considers various factors, including the chosen college and program combination, the candidate's position on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR), and seat availability.
  • After accepting a seat, the University will verify the candidate's eligibility, scrutinize documents, and confirm admission upon receiving the required fee payment.
