Pratap Chandra Memorial Homoeopathic Hospital & College (PCMHHC), Kolkata is a private homoeopathic medical college which was set up in the year 1926. It holds recognition as one of the most ancient homoeopathic institutes in India and its functioning is supported and ensured by its affiliation with West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India both have recognized this college. It is a full-fledged institution where a college is combined with the operation of a hospital, laboratories, library, pharmacy, hostel facilities, clinical departments, etc. All these together are meant to provide high-quality as well as hands-on education in Homoeopathy. BHMS admission is based on the score NEET UG 2026 and later on West Bengal AYUSH Counselling. Pratap College is a fully equipped institute for medical education which has only 50 BHMS seats approved by its management.

The BHMS course programme can be entered through qualifying NEET UG 2026 and followed by West Bengal AYUSH Counselling. This is the main route for admissions as there is no separate procedure except that one must get the required NEET score as well as complete other admission steps like counseling, document verification, allotment letter and reporting to college for admission confirmation etc.

Eligibility

  • Qualification: Applicants should have passed in Class 12 examination in which Physical and Chemical Subjects, along with Biology/ Life Science & English (Language or Literature) are compulsory subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: For General Category applicants, it would be an aggregate minimum passing or 50% in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Reserved Category applicants need a total minimum aggregate percentage of 40 % of the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) subjects.
  • Age Limit: Must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December 2026.
  • Qualifies for NEET (NEET UG 2026): A candidate must have obtained a NEET result and passed it in the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for Under Graduate courses to be considered for Homoeopathy Courses.

How to Apply – BHMS

  • First of all a candidate should register and give NEET UG 2026.
  • Then he/she should get the qualifying of NEET UG.
  • Also, he/she should register for West Bengal AYSUH Counselling. 
  • Documents need to be verified in case of counseling.
  • Different colleges need to be selected and the choices are to be locked.
  • Once one joins the counseling sessions, he or she will get the allotment letter.
  • Finally, report to the college concerned for admission confirmation

To be eligible for admission, you must clear NEET with a score of 200–250+. If you belong to the General category, for West Bengal AYUSH state counselling, your All India Rank should be less than 4,00,000. Previous year, Pratap Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College NEET Cutoff was around 402380 (Closing Rank). It becomes easier to get selected in earlier rounds if you score higher.
