PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) is the brainchild of Dr Palani. G. Periasamy is a stepping stone to increase the reach of education to the juveniles in technology. It was founded in 1999, and it is situated on Karur Road, National Highway-44, in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu state. PGPCET is approved by AICTE and allied under Anna University. PGPCET offers admission in courses at the Undergraduate (UG) level in the form of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)/ (B. TECH) and the postgraduate level in the form of Master of Engineering (M.E)/ M. Tech, Master of computer application (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) BE/B Tech Admission
PGPCET offers courses at the UG level B.E/ B. TECH in five specializations. The annual intake capacity is 60 seats per branch.

• The criterion for admission in B.E/ B. TECH program at PGPCET is based on TNEA merit rank in the merit list released by the admission authority.
• A student is expected to have scored minimum marks of 50% in class 10+12 to apply for admission in the B.E/ B. TECH program at PGPCET.
• The first thing to do is register oneself for TNEA and then follow all other procedures as mentioned.
• Students who have their names in the list released by TNEA are suitable to apply for further counselling and fill their choice of preferences.

PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) M.E/M. Tech Admission

The M.E/ M. Tech degree at PGP College is available in two domains: Computer Science Engineering and Structural Engineering. The annual intake of students for this postgraduate course is 40, including both branches.

• BE/ B.Tech graduates who have secured more than 50% marks can apply for admission at PGPCET in M.E/ M. Tech program.
• Along with this, students have to clear the state-level entrance exam that is TANCET. Anna University will conduct the TANCET.
• Therefore, aspiring candidates are supposed to register themselves for the entrance exam of TANCET and perform well as a correspondent to the minimum cut-off criteria set by PGPCET.

PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) MCA Admission
PGPCET also provides a postgraduate level degree of Master of Computer Applications (MCA) for three years. The intake capacity is 60 seats.

• Undergraduates who have secured more than 50% marks in their course of BCA can apply for admission at PGP College for the MCA program.
• Along with this, students must appear for the TANCET entrance exam conducted by Anna University.

PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) MBA Admission
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is also provided at PGPCET for the eligible candidates. Any graduate with a minimum of 50% marks can seek admission to the MBA at PGP college. Along with this, candidates have to score well in a state-level entrance test that is TANCET.

PGP College of Engineering and Technology (PGPCET) Application Process
The criterion for admission in PGPCET for undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on the guidelines provided by Anna University (AU).

• For B Tech admission in PGP College, applicants have to apply through TNEA Counselling. The TNEA application process is online. Applicants have to register by making the payment of INR 500. Based on 12th aggregate marks, Anna University will release the merit list.
• For MCA, M Tech, and MBA admission: Students must register online for the TANCET exam. Based on the TANCET score, admissions will be offered for PG courses.
