Patiala Institute of Engineering & Technology was brought into existence in Punjab under the affiliation of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. The institute has AICTE approval and was established in the year 2009 under the sponsorship of Dukhniwaran Educational and Social Welfare Society. PIET offers PG and UG course in management, engineering, computer application and commerce.

• Candidates will have to appear for JEE Mains entrance examination to seek admission for B.Tech course in this institute.
• Admission for BCA and B.Com will be based on the score attained by the applicants in the 12th examination.
• For M.Tech and MBA admission, students should have completed graduate degree in the relevant domain followed by respective entrance test.
