The admission process at PIET follows the policies of the Haryana State Tech. Education Society (HSTES).

BE/B Tech

• For PIET Panipat B. Tech programs, 75% of the seats are filled through HSTES counselling, following the State Government's Reservation Policy. The same applies to B. Tech (LEET) and Bachelor in Pharmacy.
• The seats are divided into different categories. These include the Rest of Haryana, Haryana Open General, Reserved Categories, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes A and B, and Physically Handicapped.
• To get into the B. Tech program, you must finish 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.
• You must also have either Chemistry, Computer Science, or Informatics Practices as optional subjects. They must obtain a minimum of 45% marks (40% for the SC/ST category)
• They are selected based on the JEE Merit Rank. For B.Tech (LEET) 2nd year, admissions are based on the inter-se merit of OLET (LEET Engg.) conducted by NIC.
• To get into programs, you must participate in online counselling sessions. NIC runs the sessions.
• During the first and second counselling sessions, admissions are based on the inter-se merit of JEE (Main).
• The third online counselling session is for leftover/vacant seats. Preference is given to candidates who have appeared or registered with their JEE MAIN. Seats will be allotted based on the merit of the qualifying examination.

BBA/BCA/B Pharm

Candidates are chosen on merit for BBA, BCA, and B. Pharma.. PIET Management quota seats are filled through Institute-level counselling. This counselling considers entrance exam merit and fresh merit of the qualifying examination.

Eligibility Criteria: Passing the 10+2 examination with specified subjects. The minimum aggregate marks are 50%.

Selection Criteria:

• For B. Pharma. /BBA/BCA it is a Merit-based admission process.
• 75% of the sanctioned intake admissions are done through HSTES counselling.
• The remaining vacant/unfilled seats are filled by Institute-level manual counselling.

PIET Panipat PG admission

The admission process for the MBA and MCA programs involves a systematic approach in line with the state's reservation policy. The selection process aims to distribute seats fairly among different applicant categories.

Selection Criteria:

• Admission to the MBA program is based on the Composite Score of CMAT/MAT.
• Candidates for the MCA program are chosen through Institute-level counselling based on the qualifying exam merit. The selection process happens before the final cutoff date for admissions.
