Newton School of Technology B.Tech Admission Process

Admission to NST's B.Tech program is a meticulous process. It is designed to identify the most promising candidates who aspire to be at the forefront of technological innovation. Ideal candidates are to be among the country's top 1% of technical graduates. They should leverage available opportunities and be passionate about emerging fields such as AI and ML.

Additionally, candidates should have the curiosity to explore cutting-edge technologies. They should be open to innovative learning methods. Exhibiting strong leadership and management potential is needed, too.

Applicants must have completed their Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board to be eligible. They should have secured at least 50% of the marks.

The admission process consists of four key steps:

  1. Newton School of Technology Application: Applicants must complete the online admission application. Here, they will be providing personal details. It includes their class 12th percentage and other relevant information.
  1. NSAT: Applicants need to appear for the NSAT. For this, applicants must pay a non-refundable admission fee of 1,200. The exam consists of 80 questions, which include questions from English, mathematics, and General Aptitude.
  1. Interview and Group Discussion: Shortlisted candidates are invited for personal and group interviews. The group discussion assesses the student's personality and cultural fit with Rishihood. Adequate preparation for the interview is strongly encouraged.
  1. Enrollment: The admissions team will communicate the final decision following the interview. This decision typically takes 2–3 days to be announced. Shortlisted students will fall into one category: accepted, rejected, or waitlisted.

Moreover, it's worth noting that the program's uniqueness lies in its inclusivity. College welcomes students from various backgrounds, not exclusively from science. The process aims to identify students passionate about technology and leadership potential. It ensures they are well-prepared for a future in the ever-evolving tech industry.
