MANAGE PGDM (ABM) Admission Process

  • MANAGE utilizes the CAT score as a criterion for shortlisting candidates for PGDM (ABM) program admission. It's important to note that the IIMs have no involvement in the selection process or the program's management.
  • MANAGE adheres to the reservation policy set by the Government of India. Seats are reserved for candidates in various categories, including OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, SC, ST, PH (Physically Handicapped), and Kashmiri Migrant categories, per the established rules.
  • Students in their final year of graduation can apply for admission. They must provide a provisional certificate, mark sheets, or grade cards that indicate their up-to-date and latest cumulative marks, CGPA, or OGPA until the previous year or semester.
  • The application should also reflect these details. The provisional eligibility of these candidates will be determined based on these documents. If selected, they can secure provisional admission into the program by paying the required fee and other specified charges.
  • However, they must submit their provisional degree certificate and aggregate marks, CGPA, or OGPA no later than August 31 (admission year). Failure to do so will result in the automatic cancellation of their provisional admission.
  • These guidelines ensure that aspiring candidates understand the admission process and criteria for the PGDM (ABM) program at MANAGE, including the importance of their CAT score, reservation policies, and requirements for final-year students.

Selection Criteria and Parameters

The admissions committee will shortlist candidates for the PGDM MANAGE Hyderabad. Here's how the scoring and merit list preparation will be done:

MANAGE Hyderabad CAT Cutoff: The CAT score cutoff for admission to the MANAGE ABM program is 85+ percentile.

Score Calculation: The candidate's score for shortlisting purposes will be calculated using the following formula:

Score = (Candidate's CAT Score / Highest CAT Score scored by a candidate) * 55

Selection Parameters: Candidates meeting the cutoff will be invited for further evaluation through Group Discussion, Essay Writing, and Personal Interviews, which will take place at the MANAGE Campus.

Communication of Interview Details: The exact schedule and locations for the Personal Interview (PI) will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates. This information will be provided either via email or on the official website.

Reporting for PI: Shortlisted candidates must arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled PI slot and register with the Admission Representative at the interview location.

Weightage for Selection Parameters: The weightage for each selection parameter will be allocated as per the table provided by the Institute.

During the Personal Interview, Group Discussion, and Essay Writing stages of the admission process for the MANAGE ABM program, several important aspects will be considered:

  •  Aptitude for Agriculture and Management: The interview, GD, and essay topics may be designed to assess candidates' aptitude for both Agriculture and Management.
  • Preparation Time for GD: Candidates participating in Group Discussions will have approximately 3 minutes to prepare their thoughts before the discussion begins.
  • Equal Speaking Opportunity: During Group Discussions, each candidate will be given at least 2 minutes to express their views, during which no one else will interrupt or interject.

Academic Record (Scoring)

  • Candidates' academic records will play a significant role in the selection process for the MANAGE ABM program. Here's how the allocation of marks for academic records will be carried out:
  • marks will be assigned based on the percentage or grade points achieved in the higher secondary (+2) level, while three marks will be contingent on the performance at the graduation level.

In cases where the University provides a clearly defined formula for converting grades into marks, that formula will be employed.

However, suppose such a formula is not available. In that case, grade points will be converted into a percentage using a proportional scale, typically resulting in a slight reduction ranging from 5% to 10% (as determined by the Interview Committee before the evaluation process commences).
