Narasaraopeta Institute Of Technology(NIT) was founded in 1998. A private organization, Gayatri Educational Development Society, launched the NIT. AICTE approves the courses offered by NIT. Moreover, the college is allied with Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University. It has also received the accreditation from NBA. Anyone who scored well in the entrance exam can apply for the scholarship. Students from minority groups are also accommodated in college, and loans are accessible as well. At present, NIT offers admission to the B Tech as UG degree and MBA & M Tech as PG degree. The Entrance Exam is compulsory for all the courses to secure admission seats.

• NIT offers students a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in various streams at the undergraduate level. Under the BTech program, students can choose from four different branches.
• Admission to the B Tech program at NIT requires 45 per cent marks in PCM courses at the 10+2 level.
• Students must pass the AP EAMCET with a score that meets the college's cut-off standards.

• Masters of Technology students can select from various streams while applying to PG engineering courses (MTech).
• To be eligible for the admission process, students must have completed a BTech course in the relevant specialization with a least 50% in graduation BE/B Tech or equivalent.
• To be eligible, candidates must have passed the AP PGECET. Then, based on the same criteria, admissions decisions will be made.

NIT offers admission to the MBA in general stream.  To be qualified for MBA admission, candidates must have at least a 50% at UG level. For the MBA admission procedure at NIT, candidates must have qualified in AP ICET Entrance Exam.

• There is a charge of Rs.1000/- for the application and processing fee and any attachments specified in the application.
