Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research, popularly known as MIMER, is one of India's prestigious private medical colleges. It was established in 1994, located in Pune, Maharashtra. MIMER Pune is now affiliated under the state-university  Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) Nashik and approved under the Medical Council of India (MCI). The institution has been accredited with a grade "A" by NAAC. The institution was established to cover the gap of society and provide the aim of offering students great medical education facilities. The institution offers MBBS courses with an intake of 150 students per year and MD/MS courses with 35 students per year. MIMER Pune has been associated with the renowned Talegaon General Hospital. The hospital laid its foundation in 1925, and Dr. B. S. alias Bhausaheb Sardesai did it. The hospital was later renamed the Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Hospital.

  • The total intake of candidates in the MBBS course at MIMER Pune is 150.
  • 85% of the total seats will be reserved for the candidates applying through the state quota seats.
  • 15% of the remaining seats will be sanctioned to the candidates applying under the Management quota/NRI in MIMER.
  • Following the announcement of NEET Results, candidates have to register for Maharashtra State Level Counselling. The Directorate of Health Services Maharashtra will conduct the Counselling.
  •  Candidates can go through the official website of DHS Maharashtra and can register themselves for Counselling.
  • The counselling process concludes with online registration, document verification, option filling, and seat allotment.
  • The most important aspect is that candidates must satisfy the MIMER Pune NEET cut-off criteria.
  • If students hold a valid rank in NEET as per the cut off norms, they will secure an MBBS seat via counselling mode.

MIMER Pune MD/MS admission

  • MIMER Pune provides MD/MS PG degree courses in Medical Studies. The duration of the PG courses at MIMER Pune is 3 academic years.
