B Tech Eligibility/Selection Criteria
- To be eligible for B Tech admission at LIT, candidates must have received a 50 per cent grade in HSC Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board. In addition, SC/ST candidates receive a 5% reduction in eligibility requirements.
- The candidates from Maharashtra State must take up MHT CET as a requirement. There is no certain age limit to appear for MHT CET.
- Candidates from all over India and those from the Jammu and Kashmir Migrant categories have to appear for JEE Main.
- For admission to a B.Tech degree at LIT, the JEE Main score will be favoured over the MHT CET result.
- For the seat allocation procedure, candidates must apply for CAP (Centralized admission process)/Counselling based on their MHT CET/JEE Main Results.
- To register online for CAP, candidates are required to visit the main website of DTE, Maharashtra.

M Tech Eligibility & Selection Criteria
- A B.Tech/B.E in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks is required for admission to any M.Tech courses at LIT. The eligibility conditions for candidates from the SC/ST category are lowered by 5%.
- The merit acquired in the GATE exam is used to select candidates for the M.Tech degree.
- Candidates seeking admission to M.tech programmes at LIT must participate in the Maharashtra DTE's Centralized Admission Process (CAP). Through DTE's CAP, 80% of the total seats will be filled.
LIT Application Process
For B.Tech. students
- Candidates must undertake the MHT CET to be considered for B.Tech courses.
- On DTE Maharashtra's official website, you can fill an online application form.
- For general candidates from Maharashtra and other states, the application cost is INR 800.
- The application cost for other categories is INR 600. Students can make the payment via online by using any of the online payment methods.
- Candidates must print the MHT-CET registration confirmation after making a successful payment.
For M.Tech Students
- Applicants must acquire application kits from their local Facilitation Centre notified by DTE across Maharashtra after the CAP schedule is announced on the DTE website.
- The application kit includes a one-of-a-kind username and password to log into the website and fill out the online application.
