Jayalaxmi Institute of Technology (JIT) emerged in the year of 2008 as an effort to increment the reach of technological knowledge to the local youth. It was established under the aegis of  Chendamarai Ramanujan Educational Service Trust (CREST), founded by a successful industrialist and an appreciable philanthropist Mr Lion. C Subramanium. AICTE approves all the UG and PG courses offered by JIT. Moreover, the college is allied with Anna University. Currently, JIT offers BE/B Tech, MBA, M Tech and MCA in multiple specializations.

• JIT provisions admission in five undergraduate courses of B. Tech, which are for four years. Students seeking admission are required to register for TNEA counselling.
• Candidates who have passed their 12th academic exam with a minimum 50% average marks can apply for B Tech admission in JIT.
• By considering the aggregate score of 12th, Anna University will prepare the TNEA Rank List.
• Students whose names are included in the merit list will be allowed to take part in counselling sessions.
• Thus, the final selection criteria for B Tech at JIT depends on TNEA rank followed by counselling.

JIT grants admission for PG degree M. Tech in six disciplines. The course duration ranges from two years with an intake of 18 seats. Students must give TANCET and qualify it with the criterion mentioned by the college. After that, follow the procedures of counselling enlisted by Anna University and get admitted to JIT.

JIT administers admission to this post-graduate program of Master of Business Administration (MBA). Students who are willing to apply for MBA admission at JIT shall have cleared the TANCET exam with a good score. Along with that, candidates must have done their bachelor’s in any discipline. The minimum qualifying score must be above 50%.

• JIT will offer admission to the UG & PG courses, according to the norms prescribed by Anna University. The mode of the application procedure is online.
• For B Tech admission, applicants have to undergo TNEA Counselling. Henceforth, they have to register online for TNEA by paying the fees of INR 500/-
• For PG courses such as MBA or M Tech, applicants have to apply through TANCET Counselling. Thus, applicants are required to register for TANCET via online to undertake the entrance exam.
