Institute of Engineering and Technology is shortly known as IET. This institute is situated in Lucknow and is operated by the state government. It was started in 1984 to provide engineering and technological education to aspiring students. It is a constituent institute under APJKTU and an autonomous college. This college caters to technical and engineering education by offering them B.Tech as undergraduate program and M.Tech, MCA, MBA as postgraduate courses.

UG Programs:

B.E /B.Tech admission procedure and Specialization

Institute of Engineering and Technology provides various specializations in B.Tech courses and also accepts admission through lateral entry for B.Tech for any discipline. Students have to be eligible with minimum criteria to get access to B.Tech.

For Admission in UG programs, candidates should have minimum eligibility criteria.

• 12th should be passed b candidates with a minimum of 45% marks and chemistry, physics, and mathematics as subjects from reputed university or board.
• For B. Tech admissions students should appear for the UPSEE entrance exam to get admissions for B.Tech in Uttar Pradesh. This is state level exam conducted by APJKTU.

Key points to know

• Relaxation of 5% is done in the eligibility criteria for reserved category students like SC/ST.
• 20% of the total seats are reserved for students who have appeared for JEE Man as per the state Govt norms.
• For admission through Lateral entry, students must have 60% marks in a diploma from a known university or board.

PG Programs:

M.Tech/M.E, MCA & MBA admissions procedure, and Specialization

Institute of Engineering and Technology also provides M.Tech as a post-graduation course with 2 specializations: environmental engineering and biotechnology. MBA and MCA are the other two courses under post-graduation. All the students seeking PG courses' admission have to satisfy the requisites of minimum eligibility criteria.

For admissions in M.E/M.Tech, MBA, MCA candidates must have minimum eligibility criteria.

• For admission in PG courses, candidates must have passed B. Tech in any stream is applicable for opting M.Tech and any bachelor's degree for MBA and MCA with a minimum 60% aggregate.
• The GATE entrance exam is compulsory for seeking admissions in M.Tech. The selection will be based on merit in the qualifying exam and GATE score.
• Admission for MBA and MCA will be made based on the UPSEE entrance exam score and aggregate in the qualifying degree, which is 60% minimum.
