Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT) Allahabad was started in 1955 as a Government Institute providing Engineering and Management programs in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. IERT is one of India's foremost and oldest institutes offering Diploma and B.Tech programs with several specializations. The diploma program is offered in Engineering and Management stream by the Institute and Post Diploma program for three years, two years, and 1.5 years, respectively. The Institute also provides the B.Tech program for four years duration.

IERT Allahabad B.Tech Admissions:

Students applying for the B.Tech program is IERT will have to pass their 10+2 or equivalent from UP Board or other recognized boards with PCM and English subjects. The students will be selected for admissions based on the UPSEE exam score, followed by a state-level counseling session online. The Institute has 60 students for each specialization offered in the B.Tech program.

Lateral Entry admission to B.Tech program is for the students who have pursued Diploma Engineering.

The Institute does not have any separate quota for the students from other than UP. The seats will be provided for other state students if the seats are not filled as per UP Government provisions.

• UP students will be provided priority.
• UPSEE exam is usually held in May by AKTU.
• Eligible students must choose their desired branch and seat at the time of UPSEE Counseling held online.

The Institute provides Diploma programs in Engineering and Management stream along with one Post Diploma program. The Diploma Engineering program has five specializations, the Diploma Management program has three fields, and the Post Diploma program has just one discipline made available for the eligible students.

The Diploma Engineering program is held for three years. The Diploma Management program is fit for a two-year duration, and the Post Diploma program is carried for 1.5 years duration.

The students who satisfy the essential eligibility criteria will be selected for Diploma Engineering admissions based on the IERT entrance exam score. Diploma Management and Post Diploma program final admission will be based on the IERT entrance exam followed by an interview.

IERT Allahabad Application Process:

The students can obtain the application form through online or offline mode by paying INR 1200/- through DD or cash. The application form has to be duly filled with all correct details and mail to the Institute within the given time. The Admit Card will be provided on the Website, which has to be downloaded by the students.
