Bhairab Ganguly College is located in west Bengal, Kolkata and was established in the year of 1968. It is a private institution; at present it has a total student strength of around five thousand. The Bhairab Ganguly College is one of the best colleges and it imparts learning in diverse area of Humanities, Commerce and Basic Sciences. • Bhairab Ganguly College offers programs under the fields of Arts, Science, Medical, Commerce and Mass Communication under various specializations at under graduate and post graduate level.
• For admission into any of the under graduate programs like BA, B. Sc, B. Com, BA (Hons) and B. Sc (Hons), it is mandatory that candidate must have passed 10+2 level examinations in relevant discipline from a recognised board of education with an aggregate of at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Total intake of candidates into BA program is 60 students per annum/ per specialization; into B. Sc program is 40 students per annum/ per specialization; into B. Com (general) is 150 students per annum and into B. Com (Hons) is 220 students per annum.
• At Post graduate level Bhairab Ganguly College offers Master of Arts (MA) under the specialization of English and Urdu, Master of Science (M. Sc) under the specialization of Geography and Master of Commerce (M. Com) programmes.
• Admission to Master degree courses are done on the basis of the aggregate marks received by the candidate in their graduation level.
• Total intake for the MA courses is 67 students; for M. Sc and M. Com course is 32 students per annum. 60% of the seats are reserved for students from West Bengal State University.
