JoSAA 2022 Counseling Schedule

JoSAA is shortly known for Joint Seat Allocation Authority. This authority is responsible for the counseling process for JEE Main and JEE advanced examinations. 

The JoSAA 2022 website has been launched. JEE Main and JEE Advanced qualifiers will be eligible to register for JoSAA 2022. The counseling schedule of JoSAA will be announced soon on the website at josaa.nic.in. As per the JEE Advanced exam schedule, the registration process for JoSAA counseling will commence on September 12, 2022. However, the complete schedule of the counseling process will be updated on the website soon.  

JoSAA 2022 is essential to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for the academic year 2022-2023. There are around 114 listed institutes that include IITs, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IIITs, and other Government funded institutions. 

Below are the Counseling Guidelines of JoSAA 2022:

The basic steps in counseling involve registration, choice filling of college and courses, payment of seat acceptance fee, and provisional admission. JoSAA will be done in two phases. The first phase is for JEE Advanced Engineering, Pharmacy, and Technology stream. The next session is for JEE Main qualified candidates.

• Students with the minimum eligibility requirements in JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2022 are allowed to register for counseling.
• The eligible students must make the registration before the deadline and cannot do it once the counseling process starts. 
• The three stages of JoSAA 2022 are registration, choice filling, and verification process.  
• The JoSAA registration process is validated only after paying the registration fees. The amount will be non-refundable.  
• The seat allotment authority considers the participating institutes, available seats, and the choices of courses.  
• Once the counseling process is concluded, the seats cannot be converted or de-reserved into vacant seats for the general and reserved category students.
• In case vacant seats are available after the process will be given under the TFW category, which shall not be converted to General or unreserved seats.

Here are the steps under JoSAA 2022 registration process: 

• The JoSAA official website at josaa.nic.in. Must be visited by qualified students. 
• All the basic details about the candidate must be entered while registering. Students must also provide the results of JEE Main or JEE Advanced (whichever is applicable). 
• Also, for verification, candidates must upload the essential documents. 
• The registration process will complete only after making the registration fee paid.

The next step for the candidate is to choose the filling of their interested institutions and choice of courses and specialization. The JoSAA seat allotment process is done based on merit, preference, and seat availability. Once the allotment is done, candidates must submit the docs in physical form for verification. Later, the seat allotment letter must submit to the institution to confirm admission.
