The students who are selected for IIT internship are called for face to face/ skype/ telephonic interview with the main professor. The interview questions asked by the professor is mainly based on the skill set and research interest.

The frequently asked IIT interview questions are:

  1. Explain about the projects you had worked before.
  2. What will be your contribution to this project?
  3. How will the internship opportunity help you reach your goals in career?
  4. Why are you interested to work in the field you have applied for?

Apart from these questions the students are evaluated by the professors based on the technical knowledge they have about the field and project they have applied for. For example if the students have applied in artificial intelligence field, the questions will be based on the probability, neural networks, interpolation and extrapolation, numerical methods, Matlab and C/C++.

  6. How many number of sub arrays is present in permutation of first N natural numbers so that the median is M?
