Aspirant seeking to take admission in this college must fulfil the basic requirement of having passed 10+2 with compulsory subjects of physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board or university. Apart from this minimum eligibility the most important fact for admission is that candidate must secure valid score in National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET), because final selection for admission is made through NEET entrance exam. Mode of application and examination of NEET exam is online; its application form is released mostly in 1st week of February and the exam is conducted in 1st week of May.

Students looking to take admission for the BDS course must satisfy the fundamental prerequisite of having passed 10+2 with obligatory subjects of physics, chemistry, biology and English as the necessary subject with least 50% from a perceived board or college. Aside from this base qualification the most significant for the SRGDSH admission is that competitor must make sure a valid score in National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET). Sri Rajiv Gandhi Dental college, Bangalore cut-off marks also must be satisfied to get seat in the counseling. There will also be Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences application fee also to be paid.
