Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women was established in Bhimavaram in 2001. The UGC has granted the autonomous institute status. Shri Vishnu Educational Society set up the college. NBA accredits the courses offered by the college. SVECW has an area of about 100 acres, consisting of buildings, residences, auditoriums, etc. The APQO rewarded SVEC with a Global Performance Excellence Award in 2012. In addition, SVECW has been chosen as the "Best Consumer of APEPDCL for using alternative energy resources. In NIRF Rankings, it has secured 183rd rank among the Top 200 Engineering Colleges.
Shri Vishnu Engineering College B Tech Admission

SVECW offers a UG degree B.Tech. Course with seven different types of specializations. The annual intake for B Tech is 180 seats.

The minimum eligibility requirement for the B Tech course is 50% marks in the Science stream, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as three compulsory subjects in the 10+2 level examinations.

1. Aspirants are selected based on their obtained AP EAMCET rank.  It is an examination conducted by the JNTU, Kakinada, on behalf of the APSCHE.
2. Candidates must perform well in AP EAMCET and be required to score as equivalent to the SVECW's B Tech cut-off norms.

Shri Vishnu Engineering College M Tech Admission
SVECW provides for five specializations under the M.Tech program. The minimum eligibility required for the M.Tech courses is a valid B.E, B.Sc., or B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

1. The candidate's selection process is based on the GATE or PGECET ranks of candidates. GATE is an examination IITs conducted at the national level for admission to engineering courses. PGECET is an examination conducted by Andhra University for admission to engineering courses and is a state-level examination.
2. Candidates who undertake AP PGECET Entrance Exam must attend counseling additionally. Therefore, a separate merit list will be prepared for GATE Qualifiers and PGECET Qualifiers.

SVECW College also offers an MBA program at the PG level. The minimum required eligibility for admission to the MBA course is 50% aggregate marks at the UG level.

1. Admission to the MBA program is based on a valid AP ICET score. It is a state-level common entrance test conducted by APSCHE for admission to the MBA program.
2. After qualifying for the AP ICET Entrance Test, candidates must attend counseling to fill out the choice and document verification. Through counseling phases, seat allocation takes place.

The mode of application for any of the courses in the SVECW is offline. Therefore, aspirants must contact the administrative office of the SVECW and register themselves for enrollment by submitting their intermediate/degree result information.

1. For the AP EAMCET application, aspirants should visit the main website, EAMCET, fill in the application form with the necessary details, and apply for the payment of INR 507.
2. For the AP PGECET application, aspirants should register at the official website and pay application fees (Gen: INR 800; SC/ST: INR 400).
3. For the GATE application, aspirants must visit the GATE Online Application Processing System and submit the application form online after paying the required application fees online (Gen: INR 1500; SC/ST/PwD: INR 750).

For the AP ICET application, aspirants must apply on the official website after making an online payment of INR 450.
