SGT Dental College, Hospital & Research Institute, was set up in 2002. It is one of the top dental college. Initially functioning through the Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, later the college became the Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University in 2013. The institute has accreditation of the National Dental Commission and the top rating of "A+" from NAAC. The dental college features teaching hospital facilities with simulation centres, digital classrooms, research centres, hostels, and modern clinical setups.
SGT Dental College runs a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme and offers postgraduate MDS courses in every significant branch of dental sciences. Students get admission through NEET UG 2026 for BDS and NEET MDS 2026 for MDS. The seat allocation process involves the Directorate of Medical Education (DMER), Haryana counselling system. To secure admission to the BDS programme, a candidate must appear for NEET, then go for NEET UG Haryana counselling 2026 conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER), Haryana.
A candidate should pass the Class 12 examination with science subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with the compulsory English language subject. A minimum total of 50% from the PCB group is required in the case of General category candidates.
Reservation for the SC / ST / OBC candidates is given by the Government of Haryana according to their norms.
The maximum age limit of 17 years is relaxed up to 31 December 2025 for Haryana SC candidates, whereas the minimum age required for all other categories is 17 years. NEET UG - 2026 exam-qualified candidate required

SGT dental college also offers post graduate programmes in the discipline of dental specialty. These seats are filled based on the score and ranking of the students in NEET MDS followed by counselling. The college offers practical dental medicine training and opportunities for research and one may select the area of a dentist specialization to which he wishes to be a dentist at a level of the specialization. The National Dental Council has approved 9 specializations from these dental specializations and SGT dental college offers 45 seats for MDS in these 9 areas.

SGT dental college offers 5 years duration of BDS and 3 years of MDS program, admissions into which are through entrance examinations. I joined this institution to pursue BDS, at the time of admission basic requirement that is needed to get admission into UG course is that, candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate marks with physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject from a recognised board. In addition to this selection for admission is made according to the score that student secure in NEET entrance exam. Candidates are expected to score valid rank as per the cut off marks in order to get shortlisted for admission.
SGT Dental College, Hospital & Research Institute Admission are done offline for direct admissions in BDS. The eligibility criteria for the BDS program are as follows: The candidate should be of min. 17 years of age. Second, the candidate should have pursued their HSE or their 12th in science stream with physics, chemistry and biology as their majors having secured a min. of 50% average marks. The candidate should also appear for the NEET-UG or the state level entrance test. The score secured in the test will play a major role in the selection of the candidate. Aspirants seeking to take admission into UG & PG courses must appear for NEET entrance examination and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks (cut off marks in 2018 was between 701-134) in order to get shortlisted for admission. Candidates can fill the online application form in February and the application fee is around 1,500 for general &OBC candidates and 800 for SC/ST candidates.
