The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Science (SHUATS) is a Public University which was started in 1910 as Allahabad Agricultural Institute. The Institute was converted into a full-fledged State Government from Deemed to be University in 2016. SHUATS became the first university to start offering agricultural engineering programs in 1942. The university offers programs in the stream of Engineering, Pharmacy, Arts, Education, Commerce, Library, Science, etc., at UG and PG level. The university also offers research programs that are M.Phil and Ph.D. with several specializations.
The Admission process for all programs offered in the University will be based on the university's entrance exams. For the PG program, an extra PI round will be conducted along with the entrance exam. The entrance tests are provided strictly on a merit basis in the qualifying exam. Few programs’ admission will take place through a direct interview round.

SHUATS B.Tech Admissions:
The students are supposed to have basic eligibility of 10+2 or equivalent in science stream with PCMB or PCM or PCB with Agricultural with 45% marks. The B.Tech program has 13 specializations made available for the students with the above-mentioned eligibility. The students will be selected based on the performance in the entrance exam conducted by the University.
