Miranda House was established in 1948 by Sir Maurice Gwyer. The college has been awarded the first rank by National Institute Ranking Framework and given an A+ grade by NAAC. Also, the college has been awarded DBT Star College Status. Most of the buildings of the college have been classified as heritage sites. The college offers the best academic and campus infrastructural facilities. The institute provides various UG and PG courses to the candidates. The UG courses of the college include BA, BA (Hons), B. Sc., B. Sc. (Hons), B. El. Ed and the PG courses of the college include MA and M. Sc. The college provides various certificate courses as well.
Miranda House UG Admission

• Miranda House offers 5 UG programs. They include BA, BA (Hons.), B. El. Ed, B. Sc. and B. Sc. (Hons).
• Candidates willing to apply for the UG courses at Miranda House must have cleared their 12th board examinations with a required aggregate score.
• Most importantly, students must qualify as equivalent to the Miranda Hosue cut off norms defined by the admission authority.

Miranda House PG Admission

• Miranda House offers 2 PG programs. They include MA and M. Sc.
• The Master of Science is a 2-year full-time PG program with 6 specializations. They are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Anthropology. Miranda House has 176 seats for this course annually.
• Master of Arts is a 2-year full-time program. It has specialization in 8 streams. They are English, Hindi, Economics, Philosophy, History, Sanskrit, Bengali, and Music. The college offers 147 seats annually for this course.
• To apply for M. Sc. course, the candidate must have more than 60% aggregate marks in B. Sc. with relevant subjects from a recognized university. The selection of students will be based on the merit of graduation or DUET examination marks.
• To apply for an MA course, the candidate must have more than 60% aggregate marks in BA with relevant subjects from a recognized university. The selection of students will be based on the merit of graduation or DUET examination marks.

Miranda House Certificate Courses Admission

• Miranda House Certificate Courses include long-term and short-term courses.
• A certificate course in a foreign language is a long-term course of 1 year which offers specialization in French, German, and Spanish. The college provides 40 seats annually for each stream.
• Miranda House's short-term certificate course consists of 2 streams. They are Computer Applications, a 2-month course, and Computer Application for Visually Challenged, a 4-month course. The college offers 20 seats annually for short-term courses.
• The candidate who wishes to apply for certificate courses must have completed the 10+2 level.
• The selection for the long-term course will be based on merit while for the short-term course, the candidates will be selected on basis of written tests and interviews.

Miranda House Application Process
The candidates need to visit the official website of DU to fill Miranda Hosue application form. In addition, the application form for any particular college affiliated with DU will be available there.

• For PG courses, 50% of the seats will be filled based on merit, while the remaining 50% of seats will be filled based on marks in the entrance examination.
• 750 INR will be an application fee for PG courses and 250 INR for UG courses. The candidates who clear the cut-off will be shortlisted after counselling and called for document verification.
