Manipur University was started in the year 1980, and it is situated in Imphal capital city. MU, Imphal offers various undergraduate, Diploma, Postgraduate, and Research programs in various specializations like Mathematical, Environment sciences, Medicine, Physical sciences, Engineering, Life sciences, Dentistry, Humanities, Management, and Social sciences.

• Aspirants who wish to take admission for any course have to apply for the application form offline.
• Aspirants with 45% marks in intermediate are eligible for taking B.E admission in MU, Imphal.
• University also offers B.E lateral entry course.
• M.Tech course admission is based on criteria, i.e., bachelor’s degree with a 60% score in the related stream.

Manipur University UG B.E admission:

University offers Bachelor of Engineering course in three disciplines as Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. For the B.E program, the criteria are that students have to clear their higher secondary education with a 50% score taken Mathematics and Physics as main subjects.

• B.E lateral entry admission, aspirants must have cleared diploma or B.Sc. and secured 45% aggregate score in the related branch they wish to pursue B.E.
• Selection to B.E course is made based on the JEE Main score, and for the B.E lateral entry course, the choice is through the interview process. Even students, who did not appear for JEE Main, can still take B.E admission in MU, Imphal.

Manipur University B.Sc., BA, MBBS, BBA, B.Com, BDS, BCA, BBM, B.P.Ed admission:

• Undergraduate courses are offered in various streams in MU. For BA course admission, the criteria students must have is cleared intermediate. For B.Sc., BDS, and MBBS, students have to remove the HSC examination and have taken science subjects and scored 50%.
• The undergraduate program's selection is made through the previous qualifying examination score.
• For MBBS and BDS, the selection is based on NEET entrance exam marks.

Manipur University (MU) M.Tech admission:

• University offers an M.Tech PG level course in various disciplines as given below. MU's criterion for taking M.Tech admission is a B.Tech/B.E degree in the related stream and has maintained a score of 65% or 6.5CGPA. Relaxation of 5% marks is given for reserved category students.
• M.Tech selection is through the score secured in the GATE exam along with an interview and written test, which the University conducts. The primary preference is given for GATE students who clear with valid marks.

Manipur University M.Sc., MA, M.Com, MPE and M.I. L. I SC admission:

• MU offers PG Programmes under various courses and streams. The essential criteria for taking PG level admission is to graduate in related specializations with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
• Selections for these programs are made through the admission test conducted in the University by the management. Both admission test scores and qualifying exam scores are important for the PG selection process.
• For M.Sc. and MA courses, aspirants must have obtained 50% in graduation or 45% if taken in Honors/ Major. MA admission for selected streams like Mass communication/ Linguistics/ Dance and Adult education is mainly made through admission test scores.

Manipur University PG (MCA and MBA) admission:

• The essential eligibility criterion for taking MBA admission in MU is that aspirants must have cleared their bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of the score.
• MCA admission criteria in MU is cleared any degree such as BA/B.E/B.Com/B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc with 50% score and taken mathematics as a mandatory subject in their class 12th.
• MBA selection is purely based on the national entrance exams such as XAT/CAT/CMAT or any equivalent exam.
• MCA selection is based on the score obtained in the university exam in September month tentatively.

Manipur University Process of Application:

• Aspirants first have to visit the University and contact the office for admission application.
• Collect the application form along with the prospectus.
• Submit the form by paying the application form fee of rupees five hundred (INR 500) and three hundred (INR 300) for ST and SC students by NEFT/ Online or cash mode payment.

• Visit the MU website, download the form and fill in all details.
• Pay the application fee through DD, a general price of INR 500, for SC/ST students, it is INR 300 in favor of the “ Registrar, Manipur University,” at SBI, MU Campus Branch.
• Students have to send the DD, application filled form, and the documents mentioned to the university's department head.
