Katihar Medical College and Hospital (KMC) is a private minority medical institution situated in Katihar, Bihar. It was founded in 1987 and is operated by the Al-Karim Educational Trust while being affiliated with Al-Karim University, Katihar. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given its approval to the college, which also has a 730-bed teaching hospital to which it is connected. This hospital offers clinical training in various specialties. KMC is one of the earliest private medical colleges in Bihar, and it not only caters to local students but also attracts students from different parts of the country through Open, Muslim Minority, and NRI quota admissions.

Katihar Medical College provides the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and postgraduate (MD/MS) programs. Along with MBBS, the most popular course, the college also has B.Sc. Katihar Medical College invites 150 MBBS candidates annually through Bihar UGMAC counselling. Admission depends solely on NEET UG scores. Seats in the institution can be obtained through Open Quota, Muslim Minority Quota, and NRI Quota, as per the admission policy of the college. Candidates are required to register for Bihar UGMAC counselling conducted by BCECEB in order to take part in the admission process. The college is one of the few minority medical colleges in Bihar that offers reserved Muslim Minority seats along with NRI seats.
