Katihar Medical College and Hospital (KMC) is a private minority medical institution situated in Katihar, Bihar. It was founded in 1987 and is operated by the Al-Karim Educational Trust while being affiliated with Al-Karim University, Katihar. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has given its approval to the college, which also has a 730-bed teaching hospital to which it is connected. This hospital offers clinical training in various specialties. KMC is one of the earliest private medical colleges in Bihar, and it not only caters to local students but also attracts students from different parts of the country through Open, Muslim Minority, and NRI quota admissions.
Katihar Medical College provides the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and postgraduate (MD/MS) programs. Along with MBBS, the most popular course, the college also has B.Sc. Katihar Medical College cut-off marks in the NEET should be met for students to get admission for MBBS. If the marks are below or lower than the minimum cut-off marks then the seat provided will be private seat for which the fee will be very high. For the MBBS admission one must have mandatorily appeared for the NEET But the admission quota seat will be as per the ranking of the NEET. We must also apply for this college through the UGMAC in the BCECEB website for the online or offline registration. We must fill the application form there in order to get the admissions in this institute.
