Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, was started in 1959 to offer various Engineering, Management, Science, and Design programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, Integrated, and doctoral levels. The Institute has 13 streams of Science and Engineering at the Bachelor’s level and 25 streams of Design, Applied Science, and Engineering at the Master’s Level. IIT offers a B.Tech program with eight specializations for four years of duration, consisting of eight semesters. The basic eligibility required is 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board with at least 75% marks. The selection process will be based on JEE Mains Score followed by JoSAA counseling.

The students must apply through a centralized admission process held by JoSAA based on the JEE score for B.Tech and B.Sc. programs.
