Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam Admission

Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam is also known as IIM Vizag and is set up by the MHRD in 2015. IIM Vizag offers Management studies and provides a Post Graduation program, a full-time residential program. Candidates seeking PGDM admission in IIM Vizag must have completed their Bachelor's degree with not less than 50% aggregate. Candidates must have good marks in CAT for being eligible for the admission process.

The final selection of candidates will be according to their academics, interview, written test, entrance exam score, and group discussions. Candidates will be given extra priority if they achievements in co-curricular or extra-curricular.

IIM Visakhapatnam PGP Admissions Process:

IIM Vizag provides a Post-Graduation Program of 2 years course duration in management. The total intake capacity of the PGP program is 60 seats, for which students will get shortlisted through the Selection Process conducted by IIM. Candidates seeking admissions will have to go through 3 phases of the selection process, which will be shown after the CAT exam.

The eligibility needed for taking admissions in IIM Vizag for the PGP program will have to be a graduate holding 50% aggregate. The maximum number of seats will be filled based on the academic record of 10th, 12th, and graduate degree and CAT score, interview, group discussions, and work experience.

Note:

• There will be a relaxation of 5% given to reserved category students and will need only 45% aggregate in their Bachelor degree.
• Candidates appearing for the final year examination of an undergraduate degree can also apply. They will have to produce a certificate that confirms their passing result, securing less than 50% aggregate.

IIM Visakhapatnam process of selection:

IIM Visakhapatnam conducts 3 phases of the selection process. The steps are as follows.

Phase 1: candidates who have qualified for CAT entrance exams and have applied for IIM Visakhapatnam will be shortlisted based on their cut-off percentile in each part of the CAT exam.

Candidates who have satisfied the minimum percentage of the IIM Visakhapatnam and have applied for IIM Visakhapatnam will be sent an email to reconfirm the candidates' interest regarding admission in IIMV. Candidates are advised to reconfirm the claim within the stipulated time.

Phase 2: The weightage of shortlisted candidates will be calculated based on their 10th, 12th, UG, and work experience, and candidates will be shortlisted for phase 3.

Phase 3:  candidates who have been shortlisted in phase 2 will be called to submit documents and other necessary certificates.

After which, the candidates will be invited for interview and written assessment, which will be conducted in various centers in Calcutta, Indore, Bangalore, Kozhikode, and Lucknow.

3. The application fee is INR 1900 for general category students and INR 900 for SC/ST/PWD category students.
