In 1997, Government Engineering College Ajmer came into existence. It is a public autonomous engineering college located in Ajmer, Rajasthan state. It is an 'A' Grade Engineering College offering world-class education. GEC offers UG degrees in B Tech and PG degrees in MBA, MCA, and M Tech. AICTE approves all the UG and PG courses. The campus is built on 300 acres of land, surrounded by Aravali hills. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern amenities. Such that students can get the best learning experience on campus. Over the last five years, GEC has pride in upholding an excellent record of placement rate.

  • GEC offers B Tech in seven main streams. The total intake for B Tech is 60 seats per branch. Aspirants who have passed in 12th or intermediate with a minimum of 45% marks can apply for B Tech admission at GEC Ajmer. However, there will be a 5% of relaxation to SC / ST as per government norms.
  • Selection criteria for B Tech at GEC are purely based on JEE Main Rank. Students who cleared JEE Main with a good score have to attend REAP Counselling.
  • RTU conducts REAP in offline mode. At first, Students have to register online through the official website. In counseling sessions, students will fill their choices of college/course according to their preference.
  • Students who wish to seek admission in GEC have to choose the college name while filling in the option entry form. At last, seat allotment takes place based on Merit Rank and choice of preferences.
  • M Tech at GEC is available in four branches. The college reserves 18 seats for M Tech. B Tech graduates can seek admission to the M Tech at GEC Ajmer. Also, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in B Tech degree.
  • GEC M Tech Selection Criteria is based on a score obtained in GATE. Admission seekers have to register online for GATE to take up an exam.
  • The final selection of the students is based on CAM Guidelines. It is a centralized admission procedure to M Tech. So GATE qualifiers have to attend counseling sessions to get seat allotment for M Tech.
  • GEC offers admission to the MBA in the general stream. The annual intake is around 60 seats. Any students who hold a recognized UG degree with 50% average marks can seek admission for MBA at GEC Ajmer.
  • Students who have cleared any valid exams like MAT or CAT with good scores can apply for admissions.
  • GEC also offers MCA at the PG level. The total intake for MCA is 60 seats. Candidates who have obtained at least 50 percent in graduation level can secure MCA admission at GEC.
  • Selection Criteria for MCA at GEC depends on RMCAAT Score. It is state level entrance test. MCA admission seekers with valid RMCAAT scores have to register for RMCAAT Counselling. Students have to attend counseling to fill their choice of preferences. Through this, seat allotment will be carried.
