IMDR Pune MBA Admission

The PGDM program at IMDR holds accreditation from the NBA. Additionally, it is affiliated with the AIU. This accreditation and affiliation indicate that the PGDM program at IMDR is recognized and considered equivalent to an MBA degree in India. This recognition and equivalence signify the program's quality and relevance in management education.

In the PGDM Dual Specialization program at IMDR, students can select a major and a minor specialization area. Here are the key details regarding the specialization choices and elective subjects:

Major Specialization Areas:

  1. Marketing
  2. Finance
  3. HR (Human Resources)
  4. Operations
  5. International Trade

Minor Specialization Areas (Choose one from the above and the following options):

  1. International Trade
  2. Business Technology & Systems
  3. Business Analytics
  4. Entrepreneurship & Startup Business

Elective Subject Selection:

  • Students must select 8 elective subjects from their major specialization area.
  • Of these 8 subjects, 4 are the 'area of concentration' subjects specific to the major specialization.
  • The remaining 4 subjects can be chosen from the entire list of subjects within the elective area.
  • For the minor specialization, students can select 4 subjects from the entire list of subjects in that elective area.

Limitations and Merit Lists:

  • A major specialization area will be offered only if 10 or more students opt for it.
  • A maximum of 50 students can choose a major specialization area. If more than 50 students apply, a merit list will be arranged based on their marks in the relevant functional area course. The top 50 students can take it as their major specialization.
  • For individual subjects within any specialization area, 60 students can opt for a given subject. If more than 60 students apply for a specific subject, a merit list will be prepared based on their marks in the relevant functional area course, and the top 60 students will be allotted the subject.
  • An elective subject will be taught only if 10 or more students opt for it, ensuring that elective subjects have sufficient participants for effective teaching and learning.
