  • The mode of admission in the BE/B Tech at APSIT is entrance exam-based.
  • Candidates seeking admission in the B.E. program at APSIT should appear in the entrance exam JEE-Mains. This is a common entrance test conducted at the national level.
  • Candidates can also appear in the state-level entrance exam MHT-CET. The total intake of students in the B.E. program at APSIT is 660.

The B Tech Eligibility Criteria at APSIT are as follows.

  1. Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  2. Candidates must have passed 10+2/ HSC or any equivalent exam from a recognized council of education.
  3. The mandatory subjects should be Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  4. Applicants shall have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregation.
  5. 45% aggregate marks for the candidates coming from reserved categories.
  6. Candidates who have been awarded a diploma degree in engineering and technology can also apply for this course.
  7. They shall have scored a minimum of 50% marks. Relaxation of 5% aggregate marks will be offered to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
  8. The reservation relaxation will be offered only to the reserved category candidates from Maharashtra state.

Selection Criteria

  • The selection of the students will be based on their entrance exam performance.
  • AP Shah Institute of Technology offers an offline mode of application.
  • Interested candidates can visit the official campus of APSIT. The application form will be available in the admission department.
  • Students can fill up the form and attach the copies of required documents. After filling up the form candidates should submit it.
  • The selected candidates will be called for moving forward with the admission.

in APSIT, the MHT-CET closing percentile (overall, 2025): 0.94–96.68 and Computer Science last-round closing (General HS): 90.63 percentile. These 2025 figures are the reference for 2026 admissions.

Admission requirements for B.Tech 2026-2027 at A. P. Shah Institute of Technology – Thane include qualifying MHT CET or JEE Main and participating in CAP counselling. A. P. Shah Institute of Technology – Thane also admits students through institute-level direct admission seats.

To get admission for APSIT, applicants must have passed 10+2 board exams with min of 45% marks followed by JEE Main or MHTCET scores.

Students must have appeared for the JEE Main or MHTCET entrance exam after their board exams. If they don’t secure a valid cut-off rank then they can approach for direct admission at APSIT.
