SRM University Online MBA Examination Mode

The SRM Online Education Portal follows a Remote Proctored Examination System (RPES) for conducting examinations. Here is a learner's checklist for the RPES:

  • Examination Mode: Examinations are conducted online through remote online proctored examinations only. Students do not need to appear physically for the exams.
  • Online Examination Platform: SRM Online Remote Proctored Examination System is used to conduct the exams.
  • Mock Test: A mock test will be conducted before every end-semester examination to allow students to practice using the examination software.
  • End Semester Exam Pattern: The exam consists of objective-type questions (Multiple Choice Questions - MCQs) and Descriptive questions (Essay/Case study).
  • Descriptive Questions: For descriptive questions, students need to write their answers on A4 sheets and scan them in picture format (JPG). These scanned answer sheets must be uploaded into the RPES before the exam ends.
  • Examination Hardware/Software Requirements: Students need a Laptop/Desktop with a webcam, Windows Operating System, good internet bandwidth, a mobile or scanner for scanning answer sheets, A4 sheets as required, a pen (blue or black), and a pencil if required.
  • E-Answer Sheet: Handwritten answer sheets on A4 sheets should be scanned and uploaded into the RPES before the exam ends.
  • Authentication: Students must have their SRMIST ID card and hall ticket or admit card to appear for the exam.
  • Back Paper(s): Students can appear for Arrears or Back papers every next semester until the maximum number of attempts permitted per the regulations.

SRM University Online MBA Pattern

The complete 2 year online MBA course has been divided into Four semesters &  several compulsory courses; here are a few electives and optional projects. 

  • 1st Semester - Compulsory courses that will form the 23 credits of the course.
  • 2nd Semester - Compulsory courses that will form the 24 credits of the course.
