Maharaja Purna Chandra College was founded in 1948, located in Baripada, Orissa. The late Maharaja Purna Chandra was the inspiration for the establishment of the institute. Students can pursue further education at one of India's oldest institutions, established one year after the country's independence to serve as a Centre of higher learning. As a result, NAAC accredits with a 'B' Grade.   They emphasize achievement and ensure that every student is placed in a reputable organization with the most significant compensation package. MPC offers admission to the MBA, MSc, MCA at the PG level. In addition, it provides admission to the UG courses such as BBA, BCA, BA & BSc.

Students who desire to be considered for admission to the MBA at MPC must first meet the eligibility requirements established by the institute before being permitted to enroll in the program.  Candidates who have done their graduation in any stream with 50% marks can apply for MBA admission. Selection criteria for MBA depend on OJEE MBA scores. Candidates with a valid score in CAT, MAT or CMAT can also apply for admission.

• Candidates who have been selected will be contacted to participate in Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
•  Before and after the application deadline, a list of candidates for several group discussions and personal interviews will be issued in phases.
• Applicants are notified of their interview and group discussion appointments via registered mail and e-mail. However, group Discussions may be skipped in specific programs favoring a more rigorous interview procedure to save time.

• MPC offers admission to the UG courses such as BA, BBA, B.Com, BSc for three years.
• Candidates who have passed in 12th Board examination with a minimum of 45% marks can apply for UG admission at MPC.
• The selection criteria for UG courses depends on the student's performance in the last qualifying examination.

• In addition to the MBA, MPC offers admission to the other PG courses such as MA, MSc, M Com and MCA in several disciplines.
• Candidates who have completed their UG degree with 50% marks in the concerned stream are eligible for the following PG courses mentioned above.
