KIIT University  Online MBA eligibility

Per the university's website, the admission criteria will be solely based on the candidate's profile and the university's motto to keep the online MBA as diverse as possible.

 

Interested students wishing to get admitted to an online MBA must score more than 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exams for their UG degree respectively. Also, these bachelor's degree exams must be taken by an approved institution only. Any other degree or certificate that follows the 10+2+3 criteria will also be valid for admission. Lastly, the university offers no marks relaxation to students belonging to the reserved categories.

 

The university will give those with a professional working experience of at least 2 years more preference over fresh graduates. In the end, selected students will be allowed to opt for a domain from the ones given below in the course's 2nd year or 3rd semester.

 

How to get admission for an Online MBA at KIIT University?

Getting admission to the KIIT University Online Courses is a simple process. Follow the steps below to apply:

Step 1: KIIT Online Counselling: Prospective students will receive counselling from dedicated Online Counsellors for the program of their choice. Our counsellors will guide you through the program details and help you make an informed decision. You must indicate the course if you want to apply for an MBA.

 

Step 2: Online Registration to Admission Portal: To begin the admission process, prospective students must register online through the University's Admission Portal. During registration, a nominal fee of Rs. 1450/- is required, and students must provide all the necessary details in the Online Application Form. Additionally, applicants must upload scanned copies of mandatory documents to complete the admission process.

 

Step 3: Verification of Documents by the University Admission Team: Within 48 hours of registration, the University's Admission Team will verify all the uploaded documents to determine the eligibility of the prospective students for their chosen program. Once approved, the students will be considered eligible for the program.

 

Step 4: Online Program Fees Payment: Only eligible candidates, as the Admission Team approves, will have access to the Fees Payment link in their "My Account". Students can proceed to pay the program fees through the provided link.

 

Step 5: Access to Learning Management System (LMS) for Online Program: Upon successful payment of program fees, eligible students will receive access to the Learning Management System (LMS) within 2 days. The LMS provides a platform for students to access online courses and study materials and engage in interactive learning experiences.

KIIT University  Online MBA Syllabus

In line with its policy to impart the most pragmatic and industry-oriented course, the university developed some interesting subjects as part of its online MBA program.

For instance, in the 1st semester, students are prompted to study topics from Marketing Management, Accounting for Managers, Organizational Behavior, Managerial Economics, Quantitative Techniques, Information Technology for Managers, Business Communication, Legal Aspects of Business, Human Resource Management, etc.

 

Afterwards, in the 2nd semester, students will be allowed to study more advanced topics from similar subjects, including cost and management accounting, corporate finance, organization theory, business research methods, business analytics, etc.

However, in the 3rd and 4th semesters, students will be taught specifically about topics related to their chosen disciplines to master their fields and climb that corporate ladder. Some interesting domains available for the same are Marketing Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, IT Management, and Business analytics.

 

KIIT University  Online MBA Assessments and Examination

In the Online MBA program at KIIT University, assessment and evaluation are conducted through Assignments and Term End Online Examinations.

 

Here are the details:

Assignments (Continuous Internal Evaluation - CIA):

  • Each subject includes 2 assignments, part of the Internal Continuous Evaluation (CIA).
  • The assignments consist of Objective Type questions (MCQ Type Questions).
  • Students must submit each assignment within the semester/year before appearing for their exams.
  • The weightage for Internal Continuous Evaluation (CIA) is 30%.
  • Each assignment will have 50 questions, with 2 marks allotted for each question.
  • The passing criteria for each assignment is 40%.

Term End KIIT Online Examinations:

  • Term End Examinations are tentatively scheduled in January & July, subject to UGC notification on the admission batch's last date for enrollment. Final dates will be communicated well in advance.
  • Students will fill out the online exam form for the Slot Booking Process through the University website, where they can select the date, slot time, and exam subjects.
  • The Controller of Examination will publish the exam notification with subject dates. Students will have a 15-day window to choose their exam calendar. They will get 3 online exam time slots each day.
  • Term End Online Exams for each subject will be of 2 hours duration and consist of a mix of questions, including 52 Objective Type questions with 1 mark each (total 52 marks) and 3 subjective questions with 6 marks each (total 18 marks), making a total of 70 marks.
  • The weightage for Term End Online Examinations is 70%.
  • To appear for the examination, students must complete the assignments by the last date provided by the university.
  • Students can also give backlog examinations for previous semesters/years along with fresh subjects of the subsequent semester/year.
  • The applicable Online Exam Fees for the second attempt or re-appearing for the examination is INR 400/- for Indian students and $10 for International or NRI students. Examination fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • There will be no exceptions for the said examinations.
  • Students with past due payments will not be allowed to give their examinations.
  • The results are usually declared within 2 months from the last examination of the respective exam cycle.
