VITEEE 2019 Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria for VITEEE 2019 depend on the various factors like age, nationality, qualification, and many more. Below mentioned are the eligibility for the students, who are willing to take up VITEEE for the academic year 2019-2020.




Born on or before July 1, 1997


Both Indian nationals and foreign nations can apply


10+2 or intermediate from a recognized board


60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

  • Age:  Aspirants willing to take up VITEEE 2019 should be born on or after July 1st, 1997.
  • Nationality: For VITEEE 2019 both Indian nationals and foreign nations can apply. Foreign nationals will have to apply through ‘Foreign National Application form’.
  • Qualification:

Indian National

Candidates should have completed or appearing 10+2/intermediate from a recognized board are eligible for VITEEE 2019.

Foreign National

Candidates should have High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.


General Certificate Education (G C E) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level or NIOS candidates are also eligible to apply

  • Required Marks: Candidates should obtain a minimum of 60% aggregate form in the mandatory subjects like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

  • Registration: Aspirants should foremost, register for VITEEE 2019 from the official website.
  • Mode of Registration: Once the registration is done, candidates can login and fill the VITEEE 2019 application form through online mode.
  • Required Details: While filling the form candidates should provide all the required details in the provided space.
  • Payment: After filling the VITEEE 2019 application form, candidates should make the payment of INR 1150/-

  • Payment: Candidates can make the payment for VITEEE 2019 at any nearby post office by submitting demand drafts of INR 1200/-

VITEEE 2019 Exam Pattern:

Exam Patterns of Vellore Institute of Technology’s Engineering Entrance Examination consists of 40 questions per subject except for English, as it contains 5 questions.  Every question carries 1 mark each.

  • Duration: VITEEE 2019 exam will be conducted for 2 hours and 30 minutes, i.e., 150 minutes.
  • Mode of Exam: VIT conducts Engineering Entrance Examination through online mode.
  • Subjects: VITEEE 2019 exam comprises of 4 subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and English.
  • Marking Scheme: Every correct answer at VIT entrance exam will gain +1 mark each. There are no negative markings.
  • Medium: VITEEE 2019 exam will be conducted only in English medium.
  • Marks: VIT Engineering Entrance Exam 2019 paper will be set for total 125 score.
  • Questions: Number of questions asked at VITEEE 2019 is 125 questions.         


VITEEE 2019 Exam Syllabus:

VITEEE 2019 is based in the syllabus studied by the candidates in 11th and 12th. The entrance exam consists of 4 major subjects, i.e., English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Details of the topics covered by each subjects are mentioned below:

  • Physics:  Laws of Motion & Work, Energy, and Power, Properties of Matter, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics and Semiconductor Devices and their Applications.
  • Chemistry:  Atomic Structure, p,d and f – Block Elements, Coordination Chemistry and Solid State Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium, and Chemical Kinetics, Electrochemistry, Isomerism in Organic Compounds, Alcohols and Ethers, Carbonyl Compounds, Carboxylic Acids and their Derivatives and Organic Nitrogen Compounds and Biomolecules.
  • Biology: Taxonomy, Cell and Molecular Biology, Reproduction, Genetics and evolution, Human health and diseases, Biochemistry, Plant physiology, Human physiology, Biotechnology and its applications, Biodiversity and ecology and environment.
  • Mathematics: Matrices and their Application, Trigonometry and Complex Numbers, Analytical Geometry of two dimensions, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry of Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Differential Equations, Probability Distributions and Discrete Mathematics.
  • English: Comprehension questions, Grammar and Pronunciation, etc.

VITEEE 2019 Admit Card

Admit card is an important document for VITEEE 2019. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry their admit card to their test centers and to their counseling centers. In case any candidates fails to carry their admit card to exam center, the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

Steps to download VITEEE 2019 Admit Card:

  • Visit VITEEE official website and navigate to Online Test Booking System.
  • Provide the application number and password and login.
  • Choose the preferred test, city, date and subject by clicking ‘book a seat’ option.
  • Click ‘Book’ and at the end ‘Confirm’ button.
  • Candidates can download and take the print out of admit card.

VITEEE 2019 Results & Score Card

Result for VITEEE 2019 will be released by Vellore Institute of Technology through online mode. The candidates can access their results by logging in using their ID and password from the VITEEE official website.

  • Migration Certificate: Candidates are supposed to carry their original transfer certificate along with its photocopy issued by their previous organization.
  • Marks Card: A copy along with the original marks card of 10th and 12th are mandatory to carry for counseling.
  • Cast Certificate: Candidates belonging to any of the reserved category should carry their caste certificate.
