Siksha O Anusandhan (SOA), is a private autonomous university located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha , India. The university is composed of nine degree granting school and colleges and has almost 10,000 student body and growing. Many of SOA’s programs are nationally accredited for meeting the high standard of growing competition of today’s world. The academic programs include engineering, medicine, pharmacy, Business management, nursing, biotechnology, science, humanities, environment, Nano technology, material science, law as well as agriculture.

The whole of SOS institute, schools and departments are spread over 200 acre lush green campus in the city of Bhubaneswar. The university has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a very impressive score of 3.35 and an “A” grade. SOS is ranked 38 overall by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 

SAAT is a national level entrance test, conducted by Siksha O Anusandhan University every year to select talented and deserving students for admission in its principal institute. Siksha O Anusandhan offere under graduate as well as post graduate program I various fields of engineering, management, pharmacy, technology, nursing, law and many other various field as providing as one stop for educational purpose.

The application for SAAT 2019 will be released in the month of December. Both application process and exam are online based, as they follow computer based program. This article will provide the important details of the SAAT 2019 such as eligibility criteria, Application form process, Admit card details , exam center and such.

SAAT 2019 Eligibility criteria

In order to apply for SAAT 2019 entrance test in order to get admission in different programs ,candidates needs to meet certain eligibility criteria  given out by the college. The eligibility criteria include terms such as academic qualification, age limit, nationality, nature of exam to be qualified. To make it more convenient the eligibility process of different courses are stated down separately to make it more convenient:

B.Tech

  • Candidate must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Informatics/ Statistics/ Technical Vocational subject as approved by appropriate authority
  • Candidate must have passed from recognized board like cbse/isc or state board.
  • Candidate must have scored at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC category can apply.       

B.Pharma

  • The candidates should have passed the 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology or any equivalent qualification as recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized state/ national board.

BHMCT- Hotel Management and Catering Technology

  • A pass in 10+2 exam in any discipline with at least 45% marks.
  • For SC/ ST/ OBC category 40% is required.
  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized state/ national board.

B.Sc. in Nursing ( Basic Nursing)

  • The applicants need to pass their 10+2 exam with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together).
  • 10+2 degree from a recognized national/state board.
  • A pass in English is  mandatory.
  • The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2019.

Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing

  • The candidates should have passed GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) exam, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council.

BBA

  • The candidates need to pass the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.
  • 10+2 from a recognized state/ National board.

BCA

  • The applicants who have passed the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with Mathematics as a subject are eligible for SAAT 2019.
  • 10+2 from a recognized state/ National board.

B.Sc. in Agriculture

  • The candidates who have cleared their 10+2 exam with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ ST/ PH categories), with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB subject combinations can apply.
  • Candidates must also pass in English 10+2 exam.
  • 10+2 from a recognized state/ National board.

B.A. LLB. (Hons)/ B.B.A. LLB. (Hons)

  • Pass in 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks.
  • 40% for SC/ST and 42% for OBC.
  • 10+2 from a recognized state/ National board

  • The candidates with a valid bachelor’s degree in the relevant field can apply.
  • For some branches, M.Sc. degree holders are eligible too.

MCA

  • The candidates having a bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Candidate with at least 50% marks (45% SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) and have studied Mathematics at either +2 or +3 level are eligible.

MBA/ MHA/ MHM/ MTTM

  • Those who have passed B.Sc/ BA/ B.Com/ B.E./ B.Tech/ MBBS/ B.Pharm./ B.Sc. Agri./ BVSC/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BDS/ BPT/ BHMCT/ BBA/ BCA degree exam) are eligible for SAAT 2019.
  • Candidate with at least 50% marks (45% SC/ ST/ OBC candidates

M.Pharma

  • B.Pharma with a minimum of 55% marks is required.

M.Sc. (Biotechnology/ Nanoscience & Nanotechnology/Medicinal & Aromatic Plants/ Molecular Biology)

  • Bachelor degree in Science/ Agriculture/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary/ Engineering & Technology/ Medicine (MBBS/ BDS)/ Physics (Hons)/ Chemistry (Hons)/ Mathematics (Hons) or equivalent.
  • Candidate with at least 50% marks for general cateogory.
  • 45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

  • Bachelor degree in Science Physics (Hons)/ Chemistry (Hons)/ Mathematics (Hons) or equivalent.
  • Canditate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates).

M.Sc. (Chemical Biology & Drug Design)

  • B.Sc. with Chemistry (Hons)/ B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/ B.Pharm/ M.Pharma.
  • Candidate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC category).

M.Sc. in Nursing

  • The applicants who have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/ Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Candidate with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area after registration in respective
  • State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife can also apply for SAAT 2019.

LLM - Latin Legum Magister

  • A bachelors’ degree specifically in the field of law is required.

M.Sc. (Agriculture)

  • Pass in B.Sc. (Agriculture/ Horticulture) with OGPA 6.5 (5.5 for SC/ ST/ PH) and GPA 7.0 (6.0 for SC/ ST/ PH) in concerned discipline on 10 point scale.
  • This minimum percentage of marks shall not be applicable to the candidate sponsored by State Government/ Central Government/ Nominee of ICAR.
  • Lower age limit is 21 years as on 31.07.2019.

MBA (Agribusiness)

  • A degree in B.Sc. (Ag.)/ B.V.Sc. & A.H./ B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.)/ B.Tech. (Dairy Science/ Biotechnology)/ B.F.Sc./ B.Sc.(Forestry)/ BAMS/ B.Sc.(Hort.)/ B.Sc.(H.Sc.)/ B.Tech/ B.Sc./ B.Com./ BBA.
  • Canditate with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) .
  • 55% for Graduate of Agriculture and allied subjects is required

SAAT 2019 Application Form & fees

The online filling of application form of SAAT 2019, will be available from the first week of November 2018 to the last week of March. As there is no fee for filling application form of SAAT 2019, but there are few guidelines which are to be followed while filing application form, which are mentioned below in detail:

The very first step is to fill up your name, email and phone number carefully in the application form

After filling the specific information, candidate will receive One Time Password (OTP) at the given number and candidate should enter OTP to verify for next step.

Once OTP is verified candidate login id will be created. Candidates can login to the portal to fill up the application form.

Complete the application form carefully and provide all the important required information and submit it to the college.

Download and print out your application form for future reference. The submitted application can be accessed through login account anytime by the candidate.

The acknowledgement for successful submission of application form of the SAAT 2018 will be in sent to your Email Id.

 

NOTE:  For applying for more than one course, candidates will have to fill the separate application form.

Candidates are also required to upload the:

Scanned images of pass port size photograph and signature along with providing other details.

SAAT 2019 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

SAAT 2019 entrance test will be computer based test which takes place online at specific exam center. Candidates must be very familiar with the exam pattern. The details of exam pattern which will be followed in SAAT 2019 entrance exam is stated below:

Multiple choice type questions will be asked in the exam.

Medium of SAAT Exam:

English language.

Duration of SAAT Exam:

2 hours for the whole exam.

Marking Scheme Of SAAT :

For each correct answer 4 marks will be awarded.

Negative Marking of SAAT :

1 mark will be deducted for every answer.

SAAT 2019 Admit Card

  • The Hall Ticket will be issued only to the eligible candidates who have submitted their online application forms complete in all aspects, on or before the last date as specified.
  • The Hall Ticket will contain name, photograph, program applying for, subject, address of the candidate, address of the Test Centre allotted and test schedule.
  • Hall ticket can be downloaded from 15th April 2018 onward through candidate’s personal login.
  • The Hall Ticket once received should be carefully examined by the candidate. If any error is noticed it should be immediately brought to the notice of the Director of Admissions.
  • No candidate will be permitted to attend the test without a valid Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket should be presented to the invigilators for verification while entering the exam hall.
  • Candidate must not tamper or make any changes with the Hall Ticket or alter any entry made therein after it has been authenticated.
  • The Hall Ticket is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a punishable offence.
  • The Hall Ticket is a very important document and it should be preserved and produced at the time of counseling and admission.
  • Candidates are requested to preserve their admit card till the admission process is over.

NOTE: Hall Ticket not received due to application being incomplete: SOA University does not take any responsibility to inform candidates whose applications are incomplete.

SAAT 2019 Results & Score Card

  • SAAT 2019 Result will be announced on its official website tentatively during the 1st week of May.
  • Separate merit list will be prepared for different course.
  • Each qualified candidates will be given a rank card.
  • On the merit basis, the candidate counseling will take place and they will be provided course and college.
  • For final admissions, the candidates will have to report at the allotted institutes and will also have to get their documents verified by the officials of the university.

SAAT 2019 Counselling & Admission

  • From the second week of May 2019, SAAT 2019 counseling registration will be start.
  • All selected candidates have to submit documents for verification.
  • Candidates can get admission, through NEET score into medical and dental courses in SOA College and in B.Tech courses through JEE Main score and SAAT 2019 score.
  • All candidates have to submit the correct document for verification and if found incorrect their application will be cancelled.
  • Candidates will be allotted seat according to their basis of rank, filled choices, availability of seats, category and merit.
