National Testing Academy, well known as NTA makes an announcement that EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificates are not mandatory to upload in JEE Main portal.
The students under the reserved category i.e., EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) are been instructed by the NTA author of India, not to upload their caste certificate for JEE Main entrance examination for the academic year 2019. The EWS category certificate is not a mandatory document to upload in JEE Mains website. The concerned authorities of JEE Mains examination has its official website from where the students are required to apply for the examination for the academic year 2019.
The EWS category certification is required at the time of filling up the JEE Advanced application form and not JEE Mains application form. The circular notified by the National Testing Academy (NTA) is to instruct the students not to upload their category certificate at the time of JEE Main enrollment.
According to OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II, OM No. 12-4/2019-U1 and Letters No 35-2/2019-T.S.I of MHRD Department of Higher Education, it is necessary to identify the EWS students among the JEE Main entrance examination 2019.
The application form for the JEE Mains entrance examination is made available on its official website and the students will be to seek admission can enroll their name till 7th of March 2019. The JEE Main entrance examination is scheduled to commence from 7th April 2019 to 20th April 2019.
