JEE Main 2018 Applications have already been started. JEE Main is the most popular engineering entrance examination which is organized by CBSE for Admissions to B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch programs. Let us explore the Eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2018 exam:

  • Candidate should clear 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Percentage criteria: Should have least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in higher secondary examination.
  • For calculating All India Rank in JEE Main 2018, No weightage will be given to 12th class marks.
  • Aspirants should have compulsory Aadhaar Card Number to fill the application form.
  • For JEE Main Aspirants, the number of attempts avail shall be limited to three. 

Let us explore the Exam Pattern of JEE Main 2018 exam:

  • JEE Main 2018 paper- 1 is for B.E./B.Tech programs, it will be conducted online via Computer based test and Offline via Paper Based Test.
  • JEE Main 2018 paper- 2 is for B.Arch/B.Planning programs, it will be conducted Offline via Paper Based Test.
  • JEE Main 2018 paper- 1 containing the total questions of 90.
  • JEE Main 2018 paper- 2 containing the total questions of 82.
  • In JEE Main 2018, each correct answer will be carrying 4 marks.
  • The Duration of both the Paper 1 and Paper 2 is of 3 hours.
  • There is a system of negative marking and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • The paper-1 will have different sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • In paper-2 will have different sections: Mathematics, Aptitude test and Drawing
