Delhi Government introduces Free Coaching on Competitive Exam for SC/ST canddiates

Delhi Government has taken the initiative of introducing a scheme which aimed at imparting free coaching facilities for candidates who are mainly focusing for competitive exams in engineering, banking etc. This initiative is taken by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.  

The new introduction in the scheme is, 100 candidates will be getting advantage initially and later it will have the extension to 5000 candidates. This scheme was introduced on 9th Dec 2017 by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.

Let us explore the details on this scheme:

  • This new scheme will provide free competitive exam coaching to the candidates who belong to SC/ST cadre.
  • Delhi Government will impart free coaching facilities for the SC/ST reserved cadre candidates who are preparing for  various competitive exams.
  • The competitive exams which includes Engineering, Medicine, civil services, banking and judicial services.
  • This scheme is named as ‘Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana’.
  • Initially, Selected SC/ST candidates will be benefitted by this scheme, later there will be extension of 5,000 more candidates.
  • The candidates whose Family’s annual income is lesser than Rs. 2 lakh, they will be getting 100% assistance.
  • The candidates whose Family’s annual income is between Rs 2-6 lakhs, they will be getting 75% assistance.
  • Eligible candidates will be receiving the monthly stipend of Rs. 2,500.

The reserved candidates who are appearing for JEE Main 2018, they can utilize this opportunity by joining the free coaching institutes and it will benefit them to a greater extent.
