NEET abbreviated as National Eligibility and Entrance Test is the way for the aspirants to seek admissions in the medical field in the government and private colleges across India. The examination is conducted by NTA (National Testing Authority) of India, providing scope for the students to apply for courses like MBBS and BDS.

NEET is a national level entrance test conducted across the cities of India. The examination is been conducted in 11 languages across 2255 exam center established in more than 136 cities. Every year more than 13 lakhs aspirants appear for the entrance examination to conquer approximately 66000 seats in MBBS and BDS courses.

NEET was introduced by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) board replacing AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test). The details in regards to the NEET 2019 is been mentioned in the below article for students reference.

NEET 2019 Exam Date

NEET 2019 will be held in 2 rounds, once in the month of February and once in the month of May as per the notification released by admission committee. The schedules for the entrance examination will be declared by NTA through its official website.

NEET 2019 Eligibility criteria

Candidates appearing for the NEET 2019 examination will have to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. The eligibility depends based on the factors like age, qualification, nationality, score obtain din previous examination, etc. Candidates can check the NEET 2019 eligibility criteria in the below mentioned table.

Candidates should be an Indian by nationality.

OCI, NRI and PIO candidates can also apply for the exam.

Qualification

Candidates should have completed on pursuing 12th from a recognized board.

Required Score

Candidates should secure minimum 50% aggregate score in 12th

Applicants from reserved category should at least attain 45% aggregate score.

Subjects

Candidates should have studies Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th.

Open Schools

Aspirants passed from Open School can also appear for NEET 2019.

 

Important Notes:

  • Aspirants should check all the eligibility criteria before applying for NEET 2019.
  • If any candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria set for NEET 2019, the applicant’s candidature will be cancelled.
  • Aspirants pursuing 12th or awaiting for 12th results from a recognized board can also apply for the entrance examination.
  • 15% reservation for NRI, OCI and PIO’s will be allowed under All India Quota Seats.

Candidates should have mandatorily studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 11th and 12th class to appear for NEET 2019.

  • Registration Process: Applications willing to apply for the entrance examination should register themselves by visiting the official website and providing the required details. After the registration, candidates will be provided with a login Id and password.
  • Form Filling: Once the candidate is been provide with login Id and password, they can login with the same and fill the application form with the accurate details. Personal details, academic detail, etc., has to be provided by the candidates.
  • Uploading Documents: After filling the application form, aspirants should upload the scanned copy of recent passport size photograph, right index finger impression and signature of the applicant.

Application Form Correction:

In case of commencement of any error during application form filling process, the authorities will provide an opportunity to rectify the mistake. The correct can be done only during that time period through online mode.

NEET 2019 Admit Card

Admit Card for the NEET 2019 exam will be released in the month of February for the 1st exam and in May month for the second exam. Aspirants can download the admit card through the official website by logging in with the provided credential. Aspirants should check the details mentioned on the admit card before downloading it, incase found any error, it has to be notified to the concerned authorities.

Steps to download Admit Card:

  • Visit NEET official website and navigate to Download Admit Card link.
  • Provide the application number, date of birth and password and click on submit.
  • Once the admit card is displayed check and take the print out of the same.

Details mentioned in Admit Card:

  • Candidate's details: Name of candidate, father’s name, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category, signature of parent and aspirant, space for photograph
  • NEET Exam details: Date and time of exam, language of question paper, roll number, registration number etc.
  • Applicant’s address details: House number, locality, city, state, pin code
  • Exam center details: Exam center number, name of center, full address of exam center
  • Important instructions: Instruction to be charted during the examination.

Important Instructions:

  • Candidates should verify all the details mentioned on the admit card thoroughly before downloading it.
  • In case found any error in the details mentioned on the admit card, it should be brought to the concerned authorities notice at the earliest.
  • Aspirants should download the admit card from the official website, the authorities will not send any admit card copy to the candidates. 
  • Candidates should carry their admit card to the exam center, if failed the students will not be allowed to appear for the examination. 
  • Candidates should retain their admit card till the time of admission.
  • In case of any discrepancies found, applicants should bring it to the notice of the authority to re-issue of the admit card.

NEET 2019 Results & Score Card

Results for NEET 2019 will be declared by the admission authority of examination board (NTA) through online mode. Aspirants appeared for the entrance examination can login with the provided login credentials and access their results. Results will be declared individually for both the sessions, February and May.

Steps to access Results:

  • Visit the official website of NEET and navigate to Results link.
  • Login with the provide login Id and password and click on submit.
  • Once the result is displayed, download and take the printout of the same. 

Score Card:

Score card is a document which consists of the results of the candidates appeared for the NEET 2019 entrance examination. Candidates are supposed to take the printout of the score card for further reference. The details mentioned on the score card are as follows:

  • Personal Details: Candidates name, father’s name, mother’s name.
  • Exam Details: Roll number.
  • Results Details: Total marks obtained, Subject-wise marks secured, Percentile, All India Rank, NEET All India Rank, Cutoff percentile and score and qualifying status of candidate.

NEET 2019 Counselling & Admission

Counseling sessions for NEET 2019 will be held in the month of June 2019. The counseling will be held together for both the sessions. Candidates will have to register themselves online and fill the preferred colleges to take part in counseling process.
