JIPMER MBBS Exam: 2019 Application, Eligibility, Syllabus & Pattern
Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research or JIPMER contributes to being one of the leading colleges in the field of medical education in the country. The institute organizes MBBS entrance examination for conferring admission in different MBBS courses. Almost 200 seats are allocated for the students. These courses are offered by JIPMER, Karaikal and JPMR Puducherry. The examination will be conducted in the month of June. The examination will be conducted in online mode.
Candidates who are willing to take up this test need to fill the application form. The application form can be availed online. Candidates can make the payment of application fee with the use of Debit Card, Net Banking, and Credit card. Candidates should take a printout of the filled registration form as this will be required in future. The entrance paper of JIPMER MBBS happens to be a multiple choice. There will be total 5 subjects in entrance test which include Logic and Quantitative Reasoning, English and Comprehension, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. The examination is conducted only in the English language. One mark will be awarded for every correct answer. The best thing about this entrance examination is that there is no negative marking.
It is a must that the candidates should fill the eligibility criteria for seeking admission via test. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria seriously because failing to meet the eligibility criteria will result in disqualification of the candidate during admission procedure. OCI, Indian National, and NRI students can take this entrance examination. It is a prerequisite that the student should accomplish 17 years during admission time. JIPMER MBBS Exam Date
Application forms will be available from 27th March 2019. The last date of filling the MBBS application form is 5th May 2019. MBBS Entrance test will be conducted tentatively on 4th June 2019.
JIPMER MBBS Eligibility criteria
Candidates require meeting the eligibility criteria for appearing in entrance test. Candidates require being Indian National, NRI or OCI for applying in the entrance test. The student must have attained 17 years age during admission time. No relaxation will be conferred on age limit to students of reserved categories.
It is a must that students should have passed 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized university with Biology, Chemistry and Physics subjects. General Candidates require scoring an aggregate of 50% whereas ST/SC/OBC candidates should score 40% marks. General physically handicapped candidates require scoring an aggregate of 45% for fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
JIPMER MBBS Application Form & fees
Candidates who are willing to apply for 2018 entrance exam require applying via online process. The application form can be availed from the official website from 27th March to 3rd May 2019. Candidates require filling and submitting the application form via the official website. It is a prerequisite to fill the application form carefully as no changes will be entertained at a later off stage.
Payment of fees can be done through net banking, debit card or credit card. General candidates need to pay application fees of Rs. 1000 whereas candidates of reserved category require paying application fees of Rs. 800.
JIPMER MBBS Syllabus & Exam Pattern
Entrance examination will be conducted in the English language. There will be 200 multiple choice questions in the question paper. The examination will be conducted through computer based mode. There is not negative marking in this entrance examination. One mark is awarded to the students for every correct answer.
There are 60 questions in each section of Physics, Chemistry and Biology whereas there are 10 questions in each section of English and Comprehension and Logic and Quantitative Reasoning. The syllabus for JIPMER Entrance test will be in accordance with 11 and 12th of the NCERT notebooks.
JIPMER MBBS Admit Card
After filling the application form, students require downloading the admit card. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of JIPMER. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website from the third week of May in the year of 2019. Admit card will not be sent to the postal address of the candidate. Candidates will consist of several details about the candidate such as name, roll number, photo, signature, date, time ane venue of the examination center. It is a must to carry the admit card to the examination venue.
JIPMER MBBS Results & Score Card
Candidates can view the results of JIPMER from the official website. Results will be announced tentatively in the third week of the month of June. A merit list will be prepared in accordance with the marks and percentile which will be scored by the students. Merit list is prepared separately for students of different categories.
Candidates require obtaining minimum marks for being eligible for the admission procedure. Unreserved candidates require scoring at least 50 percentile whereas reserved candidates should score at least 40 percentile.
JIPMER MBBS Counselling & Admission
After the release of results, counseling will start for providing admission in colleges. Candidates need to go through image verification and Biometric fingerprint before appearing for MBBS counseling process in the year of 2019. Candidates require producing original documents during counseling.
After the verification of documents, the authority needs to check if the candidate is medically fit. Next, to this, candidates should be admitted subsequently to the course and will be needed to pay the fee in cash on an immediate basis. The seats will be filled in accordance with the merit list and on the basis of performance of the students in the entrance test.
