MAT Exam Dates for the September session has been released. Management Aptitude Test is the privileged management entrance exam to facilitate Top Business Schools (B-Schools) in India to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied program. 

MAT Exam is been organized by All India Management Association (AIMA).MAT examination scores will be considered by more than 600 B-Schools across India. MAT September: Important Dates 

  • The candidates can get the MAT Application form in the first week of July.
  • Last date for submitting the Application form will be in the third week of August.
  • Admit Card will be available before 2 weeks from the examination. 
  • Examination Date i.e., Paper Based Test, Computer Based Test will be held in the First and second week of September 2017. 
  • Declaration of MAT result will be done within a month after the examination.

Eligibility Criteria for MAT September

  • The candidate must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a Recognized University.
  • The candidates who are pursuing their Final year of their Graduation can also apply for MAT Exam. They have to submit the necessary documents as a proof of completion of graduation within the prescribed time.  
  • There is no prescribed age limit and number of attempts for appearing for MAT exam.
  • Work Experience is also not necessary required. 

Application form for MAT September

  • Registration for MAT Sept, the application forms for the candidate will be available in both online and offline modes.
  • MAT Application fee costs Rs 1400 for all the category candidates. 
  • MAT Application fee is non-refundable. 
  • The candidate can pay their application fee via both online (debit/credit or net banking) and offline mode (demand draft).
  • In Offline filling process, the candidate has to fill the Mat application form and the same has to be submitted at the AIMA centres along with the application fee.

MAT September Admit Card

  • The hall Tickets for MAT Sept 2017 will be issued separately for the offline and Online mode of test. 
  • Admit Card will be available before 2 weeks from the examination. 
  • Hall Ticket is an important document that has to be carried to the exam hall.
  • The candidates who fail to produce the Admit card to the invigilator in exam hall will not be allowed to write the MAT exam. 
  • The candidate details, venue of the test conducted, exam timings and details will be provided in the MAT Admit card.

MAT Exam Pattern for September

Exam Date: September 2017
Mode: Paper Based Test (offline), Computer Based Test (Online)
No. of Questions: MAT Question paper consists of 200 questions (Total: 150 minutes).

MAT Question Paper Format 

  • In MAT, There are totally 5 sections and each section will carry 40 marks.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • MAT Exam question paper consists of 5 sections namely Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment.
  • Negative Marking, for every wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted.

MAT Sept 2017: Result 

  • The Result for the MAT 2017 September session is expected to be declared in the last week of September. i.e., within a month after the examination.
  • To check MAT 2017 September session result, the candidates need to enter their respective roll number, application form number, month and year of the Test. 
  • The result will be available online and offline as well. AIMA will send the scorecards of the candidates through post. The score card provides the sectional score of the candidates. 
  • MAT Exam score is valid for 1 year from the date of MAT result declaration for admission to MBA/PGDM programs. 
  • Most of the reputed institutions in India accept the MAT scores. 

MAT 2017 Admission Process 

  • The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the Entrance test. The qualified candidates have to appear for the further round of selection.
  • Almost every management college accepts the MAT score for Admission in Management Program. 
  • Almost every participating institution has its own selection process.
  • The procedure of admission consists of Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview and or Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds.
  • Final selection for the Admission will be on the basis of performance in the selection rounds.
