Institute offers B.E, M.E, B.Arch., M. Sc. And Ph.D. programs in various engineering and architecture streams. Students who have to apply for BE course must have a KCET qualified with a valid score. Applicants who request ME / MSc. programs should have cleared the KPGCET exam. A candidate seeking admission for B.Arch. Must remove the NATA exam with valid marks. Selection for the Ph.D. course is based on the Bangalore University exam or through a proper GATE rank.

The Training and Placement department was founded in 1989 by Dr. M Channa Reddy. So far, more than 100 companies have visited the institute, and students in the 2019 year batch have got more than 439 offers. They recruited students through different streams. The main task is to help and guide students to achieve their professional goals through continuous training and learning about software and technical skills for resolving issues in the corporate environment recently, companies such as Global Logic, ElectroMech Material Handling Systems, IBM CIO, and Full Throttle Labs have been active in the last two weeks.

UVCE received a salary package of 19.5 lakhs from a Japanese company. Shashank Koppar of the Raichur district was selected last year as a student of Information Sciences at UVCE by Rakuten Campus, an international e-commerce organization.
