Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test [CGPET]
Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CGPET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted for candidates seeking to get admission into engineering, agricultural engineering, dairy technology, and other engineering disciplines at several private and government colleges Chhattisgarh. CGPET examination mode is offline, and it will be conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB), and the examination will be for 150 marks. There will be three sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics); each section carries 50 marks. Totally 41 Colleges grants admission for the students through CGPET Entrance Examination. CGPET online application process will begin from the 3rd week of March, and candidates must apply for the application form within the last week of May.
The authority will declare the admit card of CG PET for each registered candidate who submits the applications form on the last date. The result of CG PET will be declared officially on the respective website. CGPET Counseling will be conducted in July. Candidates who have secured the entrance examination and who meet the eligibility criteria can participate in counseling online.

CGPET 2021 Eligibility criteria
To apply for CGPET, Candidates should meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by CPEB (Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board). The Common Eligibility for all the courses is that Applicants must be a citizen of India and be the Chhattisgarh resident.
Engineering: Candidates should have cleared 12th Examination in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as mandatory subjects with any one of the vocational subject), and candidates should secure a minimum 40 aggregate score in qualifying examination. In case candidates who belong to the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PWD) must secure a minimum 40% aggregate score.
Agricultural Engineering: Applicants who are seeking to apply for the Agricultural Engineering discipline through CGPET must have qualified in 10+2 examination in science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as mandatory subjects) from any equivalent recognized board. Candidates who belong to the general category must obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates who belong to the reserved category can attain a 40% aggregate score.
Dairy Technology: Aspirants who are willing to apply for Dairy Technology Course through CGPET must be above 17 years of age and must have passed in 12th grade with required 50% aggregate score in science stream (Physics, Mathematics, English, Chemistry as compulsory subjects), and reserved category(OBC/SC/ST/PH) candidates can obtain minimum 40% aggregate score
CGPET 2021 Application Form & fees
Candidates seeking to appear for Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CGPET) must apply for the online mode application form. Candidates need to submit the application form within the last date (The last week of May).
- Applicants must visit the official website (www.cgvyapam.choice.gov.in) and search for the Entrance Exam link and then click on “Online application form for CGPET 2020.”
- The application form page will open, then candidates need to fill up the required details like educational details, contact details, correspondence details correctly, which is mentioned in the application form.
- Candidates are requested to enter the valid A/C Number, Aadhar Number, PAN Card Number in the application form.
- After filling up the form, applicants will receive a registration ID Number for CGPET Examination.
- Candidates need to upload the passport size photo along with Signature & Thumb Impression in JPEG format, and the file size should not exceed above 50KB.
- Candidates need to pay the required application fee and submit it.

CGPET Exam Patterns
CGPET 2020 Examination will be conducted through offline mode. The Pattern of Examination is in MCQ Format. It covers 150 questions from three topics (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. Candidates need to attempt all the 150 questions compulsory. The duration of the time to complete the examination is 3 hours. The Examination will be usually conducted in May every year (Tentatively)

CGPET 2021 Admit Card
Eligible candidates who have completed the online application process for the CGPET examination will access the CGPET admit card online mode before the due date. Admit card of CGPET contains important details such as the candidate's name, Examination Venue, registration ID, and time & date of the examination. After getting an Admit card, candidates need to check the details properly mentioned in the card. If any mistakes are found, candidates need to contact the correction's helpline. Admit Card is significant for appearing for entrance examination without an admit card. Candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.
Candidates need to carry any one of the following documents 12th Marks sheet/ Pan Card/ Aadhar Card and admitting card for the examination center.
How to download CGPET Admit Card
- At first, Candidates need to visit the official website and click on the “Admit Card” Link.
- Then admit card portal page will open.
- Candidates are requested to login by using the registration ID.
- After the successful Login, CGPET admits card will be displayed on the screen.
- Then candidates can download it and can take the print out of it.
CGPET 2021 Results & Score Card
CPEB (Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board) will declare the examination result of CGPET (Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test) after the examination. Authority will declare the result in June. The result of CGPET includes the marks obtained in the 12th Examination and the student's rank in the entrance exam. CPEB authority prepares the merit list based on the candidates' rank in the entrance examination. To check out the result, candidates need to login by using the required credentials such as registration number and other details. After the declaration of results, candidates need to attend the counseling session.
CGPET Cut Off
(CPEB) Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board will declare the Cut off list through online mode, and candidates looking to get admission for engineering in Chhattisgarh colleges must meet the cutoff criteria, which the authority will prepare. CG PET cutoff list includes opening and closing ranks, and it will be different for several colleges and engineering program disciplines. Several factors will be measured to determine CGPET Cut off, such as the number of candidates who appeared for the Entrance Examination, Difficulty Level of the Exam, Candidates' performance, and the Seat availability, Previous year Cut off-trend, etc.
A separate Cut off list will be released for JEE Main Entrance Exam and CGPET Entrance Exam. Apart from this cut-off score varies for each category. Candidates who obtain an equivalent score or above the declared cuff off score can get admission to the participating colleges' engineering courses.
CGPET 2021 Counselling & Admission
CGPET Counselling will be conducted online mode in July every year. The authorities will organize separate counseling processes for CGPET qualified candidates, and the JEE Main Entrance Exam qualified candidates. Firstly, qualified candidates need to register through online mode to participate in the counseling process of CGPET. Online Counseling includes several steps such as payment of counseling fees, document verification process, and choice filling. Seat allotment will be done based on the candidate’s rank obtained in the entrance examination and based on seats.
CGPET Counselling Procedure
Step 1: Registration- Candidates who wish to appear for CGPET Counseling must register themselves through online mode by entering the required details such as Roll Number, Date of Birth, and other relevant details. After the successful registration, a Unique Registration ID will be generated. Candidates need to log in to the portal using a registration number & password.
After the login, candidates must enter the details properly as mentioned in the form and must upload the scanned image with a signature in a prescribed format.
Step 2: Payment of fees – In the next step, Candidates need to pay the required CGPET counseling fees through online mode, and fees can be paid through debit/ credit or internet banking.
Step 3: Choice Locking- After paying the counseling fees, candidates must choose the institute and desired course. Candidates need to choose a maximum number of institutes to raise admission possibilities. Candidates are requested to lock their choices before the due date and take the print out of it for future reference.
Step 4: Document Verification- After completing the choice locking process, candidates should report to the allocated centers for the document verification process. Candidates should carry all the relevant original educational documents with Xerox copies at the allotted center for verification. After completing the document verification, candidates will receive a receipt cum acknowledgment slip by the authority.

Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board Chhattisgarh has declared the list of examination centers, and the CGPET entrance exam will be conducted at 28 exam centers. The examination center's allotment for each registered candidate will be based on the candidates' preference. So while filling the application form, candidates must choose the desired examination center properly at their convenience.
