Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship Development (IMED), Pune, was established in 1978 by Bharati Vidyapeeth. IMED is a well-known Business School in India. IMED Pune Course and Fees

The institution offers various undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in management and computer application streams. The undergraduate-level courses are BBA and BCA. The postgraduate level courses are MCA and MBA. At the same time, MBA is the flagship course of this institution. Therefore, the fee structure varies for each course. IMED Pune Course Admission

Students seeking admission in IMED must ensure the required eligibility norms before filling out an application form.

• The eligibility criteria for applying to the IMED Pune BCA/BBA program is to have passed HSC or 10+2 from any recognized Board. In addition, students appearing for their board exams are also eligible.
• The eligibility criteria for admission into the IMED Pune MCA course is a BCA or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• OR candidates can have a B.Sc./B.Com/BA degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or Graduation level with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• The candidates applying for the MBA course must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA.

The admissions to these courses are based on performance in entrance tests.

• The admission into the UG courses is based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth, i.e. BUMAT test.
• The admission into the postgraduate course is based on the performance of the candidates in the BMAT test.
• For admission into the PhD course, the selection of candidates is based on 'The All India Entrance Test' conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth. The shortlisted candidates will be required to apply for the interview. Candidates who have appeared for UGC-NET (including JRF/AYUSH-NET)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF/SLET/ GATE/ GPAT/ Project Fellows / Teacher will be exempted from the Entrance Test. However, the candidates will still have to appear for an Interview.

The application process is completely online. The full procedure is mentioned below:

• Visit the official website of IMED Pune. The application form will be made available online.
• Once you open the website, click on the 'Admissions tab' and choose the desired course.
• Register as a new user in the portal and log in with the username and password received in the email.
• Fill out the IMED Pune application form by correctly entering the required personal and qualification details.
• Upload a passport-size photograph and scanned signature in the respective fields.
• Pay the required application fees online through credit card/debit card/net banking
• After successful payment, recheck the application form. Keep a screenshot of the completed payment.
• Finally, submit the application form and note down the reference id for future communication.

The institution has a Corporate Resource Center (CRC), which is responsible for inviting companies to recruit and train students for the placement drive. The institution provides various scholarships to provide a helping hand to its students. The scholarships are:

• Central SC/ST Scholarships: This scholarship is for SC/ST students by GoI. Eligible students get a 100% waiver of the programme fee, excluding the refundable component of the fee
• North Eastern Council (NEC) Scholarship: Financial aid for students of the North-Eastern Region for Higher Education.
• National Talent Search Scholarship: Scholarship For UG and PG students in which a Scholarship of Rs.2000 per month for undergraduate and postgraduate candidates is provided.
• SC/ST Scholarships:  This is for the SC or ST candidates based on annual family income by State Governments.
• Merit-cum-Means Scholarships: For needy, deserving students, Rs. 2,200 per annum for needy, deserving students.

IMED Pune Facilities

IMED has a very impressive infrastructure. The classrooms are equipped with modern gadgets like LCD projectors, Computers and Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The seating arrangement for the students is quite comfortable and disciplined. Some classrooms have a 'Lecture-Capture' facility for recording the lectures.

The institution has an Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell). This cell is responsible for providing the students with the opportunities to interact directly with well-known entrepreneurs and investors to understand practical challenges and opportunities in setting up an enterprise.

The institution has a library that is basically the students' knowledge hub. It houses more than 63,740 books and over 248 National and International journals and magazines. There is a Software Development Cell (SDC) on campus. This cell is the brainchild of the Department of Computer Application and System Studies of IMED. The primary goal of the cell is to allow the students to get hands-on experience in various phases of Software Development.

IMED Pune Hostel

The institution provides separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are made available on the campus premises itself. The hostels are surrounded by ample open space and a green garden. Security provision is available 24 hours within the campus. In addition, all the amenities available for a comfortable stay, including a dedicated mess facility, are available on campus. The hostel fee in IMED is approx. INR 1 Lakh for both boys and girls.
